Five years ago, Shannon Smith came to Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana after experiencing two years of homelessness and hardship. He was willing to start somewhere, taking a position as a donation attendant.
Today, he serves as our Logistics/Aftermarket Manager after rising through the ranks through hard work, determination, and perseverance.
Shannon’s story is a powerful example of what can happen when you refuse to give up. It’s also a reminder that success doesn’t always look the way you imagined it would. Sometimes opportunity starts with simply walking through the right doors and accepting help.
At Goodwill, when you walk into our doors, you are walking into opportunity. Opportunity to rebuild. Opportunity to grow. Opportunity to change your life and your family’s future for the better.
