Reforest your mind! Join Jarrahdale Forest Protectors, WA Forest Alliance and Ricky England for a bus tour around the Northern Jarrah forests for a chance to see first hand how bauxite mining is affecting the forests.
The tour will go through beautiful unmined jarrah forest, sad, silent rehabilitated forest and mined areas. You’ll be able to see the proximity of mining to water catchments and the realities up close, guided by locals and campaigners.
There are two tours, leaving from the Serpentine Jarrahdale Landcare Centre. The first will be leaving the community centre at 8:30 am, and returning at 12:30pm. The second will leave the Serpentine Jarrahdale Landcare Centre at 1pm and return at 5:00pm. There will be a break for morning/aftenoon tea on each tour.
