How wild is it for us 🤯 this little band from Cape Town - living out a dream playing a song we produced together with one of our favourite artists in the world (@youngr_music )… right in out back yard, with the African sun setting over the Atlantic ocean. It's bucket list stuff I’m telling you. 🌅✨
Then double that with finding out the song has just entered the top 50 most played songs in South Africa. 🇿🇦💥🇬🇧 Not a bad day. Not a bad day at all.

Oh little person, thank you for making me a mama. I didn't know how much this experience would expand my heart in all directions. Being your mama has been the single biggest privilege of my life and has made me love and appreciate my own mother and all mamas out there doing their best. 🙏
Women truly are astounding creatures. We should listen to them (us) a little more... the softness, the nurturing, the love... the care. It feels like the world really needs it. Mother's Day isn't actually just about celebrating moms, it's about celebrating the whole feminine and her calling us all home to her warmth.
If I reflect... This past year has been a big journey for me as I have felt called to reconnect more to the mother and feminine within me... to expand, let go, allow, agree. It's been big (often hard) work yet I have been supported by many other strong women and men on their own journeys. It took becoming a mother to realise that I have to do this work... so I am immensely grateful for this blessing that has (in every way) opened my heart and expanded my awareness.
Happy Mother's Day my beauties. I love you ❤️
PS: I also want to thank my own magical mama (Gaga) and mama Ivy who have supported me and loved little Skylar as if she were their own when I can't be there for her (she has 3 mums). I can openly say that I'm not sure motherhood would have been a possibility for me without the both of you... I am deeply grateful 🙏
Before I fully land back into real life I want to share what this weekend did for me... let's start with one simple thing. AfrikaBurn was not at all what I was expecting. I had heard stories, I had prepared myself for what I thought I was going to find but in all honesty it was none of that. What it was, is hard to explain in words but let me try...
It opened my eyes to humanity...to kindness... to connectedness (the honest kind) and what our world could actually be like if we were all just a little less selfish and a bit more soft with each other. We had FUN with no expectations and with no judgement... time was gone and we were all just people enjoying the music, the art, the creativity and celebrating each other.
Into the desert we danced and marvelled at the vibrancy and beauty that was everywhere... we made friends... talked to strangers... hugged (a lot) of them too. We were gifted tiny, heartfelt creations wherever we went. Nothing fancy just little symbols of love... a ring, a sticker, a fortune cookie, a kind word... but each one was a valuable and appreciated as the next.
Then our gift… our offering of music… it became something pretty different. Ben played this beautifully intuitive DJ set, and I found myself drifting in and out with a vocal here and there… but what made it so special was that it wasn’t about us at all. Not even a little bit. We were just a thread in something much bigger and taking everyone (who happened to be there) on a little journey of our own. It wasn’t a “show.” There was no stage or separation or expectation from anyone... just a feeling of dissolving into something much much bigger than yourself. It felt safe and warm.
Thank you Afrikaburn for one of the best weekends of my life. I felt like a kid again, I got to play and bounce around and be a free as a bird. Thank you for all the FUN and for the reminder that music isn’t something you perform… it’s something you give.
Now I can openly shout with all my heart IN DUST (and humanity) WE TRUST!! 🌈❤️🌪️
Ps: here are a few moment (mainly captured by kind friends at Smokescreen - I wasn't on my phone... it was nice!) @afrikaburn

SPLASHY I can't tell you how nervous we were going into this weekend!! 😬When we got the invitation to headline the Friday night we felt an enormous amount of pressure to do something different...
We pushed ourselves harder than we ever have. Built a full visual show. Brought a bigger band. Took risks we weren’t sure would land. It honestly felt like standing on the edge of something that could either completely connect… or completely fall flat.
that’s a pretty vulnerable place to be.
But Splashy met us there.
You held us. You lifted us. You reminded us why we do this in the first place.✨
“Be kind. Stay human.”... this is something you can actually feel in that valley. And it changes the way you perform, the way you connect, the way you give.
We walked off that stage feeling cracked open in the best way. So full of gratitude. So proud of what we built… but even more moved by how it was received.
Thank you for meeting us in that moment.
Thank you for your energy, your openness and your love.
Splashy… you’re really something ridiculously special.
❤️
Can't wait for the next time!!

🐇✨We rushed back from Splashy for her. So we wouldn't miss our little girl's first (proper) Easter hunt...
It's WILD how quickly life can shift... from the chaos and colour of Splashy Fen to the quiet, sacred joy of her tiny little footsteps in the garden. The choccie eggs hidden in the grass… Ben fully on dad duty… and her little face lighting up like it’s the BEST treasure hunt in the world 🐣🤍
It's these soft, magical moments that bring so much joy!! Happy Easter beautiful people. Hope your day is full of love, laughter...

@goodlucklive 🤝 @splashyfenfest
Goodluck and Splashy go hand in hand, and it honestly wouldn’t feel the same without them! The energy, the love, the way they turn a set into a full-on shared moment… it’s something super special every single time.
Thank you for that big dance party last night, we felt it in our souls…💕😘❤️🔥🫶
This is the song that changed our lives forever… and it’s 15 years old this year 🤯
I found this clip of Ben and I debating the name of what it should be called 🥹 We had NO IDEA then that it would explode the way it did… that 15 years later radio is STILL playing it 🎶✨
I think it’s got a pretty strong message for the world at the moment 🌍⏳ What do you think?
