Come join us Wednesday night for our 3rd annual multi-story disco-ball-drop-countdown DJ-n-dancin and neighborhood-hangin-out best-most-relaxed NYE red hook night of the year. We can't wait to see you here, bring your friends and lovers and visiting cousins. And if you don't have a reservation somewhere overpriced and fancy then have dinner with us, it's usually pretty damn slow till around 10pm ;)
This year I am especially grateful for the many overlapping communities that make up the Red Hook Community. Since the Van Brunt fire in September that took my, and many others studios, workshops and businesses, these people have showed SO strong in SO many ways. I am way overdue thanking one part of that community, the very good people of The Good Fork, who hosted Hot Wood Arts for fundraiser all the way back in October only a few weeks after the fire. We made and sold mono prints and t-shirts and the Good fork put on 3 bands that rocked while we were hosted in grand style. It was great to raise some money to help get Hot Wood back on its feet but even better was having a great, healing day being shown love and support by our friends an d neighbors. Thanks @goodforkpub and @hotwoodarts for a great day. Thanks to @pj_norman for all photos except the first and last. And thanks to all my friends for always being there.
