Introducing Good Egg Audio! 🍳 We're a well-seasoned team of storytellers. We make podcasts with compassion and craft. We also enjoy making egg puns.
We worked together for a long time at an independent podcast production studio. When the studio closed last year, we decided we weren't ready to stop working together. We wanted to continue to make the work we love, as a group. So we formed Good Egg as an independent worker cooperative.
Nicki Stein, Senior Producer and Head of Story (she/her)
Listens to a song one time and knows all the lyrics. Once burned a hard boiled egg. Story brain extraordinaire.
Carl Nellis, Senior Producer and Head of Community (he/him)
Writer, dungeon master, and grill dad. Producer of smash hit history podcasts. Ask him about his cast iron pans.
Nick Dooley, Director of Technology and Engineering (he/him)
Drummer and audio engineer. Definitely not a wizard. Has been known to construct backyard curling rinks.
Gemma Castelli-Foley, Associate Producer and Head of Operations (she/her)
Researcher, writer, and systems thinker. Theme party enthusiast. Her ideal egg is jammy with abundant dill.
Wanna crack a few eggs with us? Reach out, we'd love to talk 🪺 [email protected]
Interested in working with Good Egg? 🍳 We collaborate with our creative partners to bring projects to life from start to finish. We make compelling, heartfelt, and human stories that live up to the best potential of podcasts as a medium for human connection--for teaching, learning, and shaping society and culture.
As collaborators we believe in equitable creative partnerships, direct communication, and leaving room to allow your inner silly goose to shine through.
Our clients say we're a good hang, and we tend to agree. Curious about working together? Let's whisk something up 🪺 [email protected]
Turns out managing a theme party and managing a podcast project aren’t that different…
1. Pick a Launch Date: Having a launch date set at the start keeps a project moving!
2. Set a Budget: Budget time, effort, and/or cash!
3. Craft the Vision: This is the fun part. See how far you can go with the budget you set! When it comes to parties, I put the most investment towards an anchor piece of decoration that sets the mood, followed by on-theme food and drinks.
4. Remember to take a step back and enjoy the finished product!
shout out to @kevrosehome for the tentacle inspo! 🐙
The Dog Union is pleased to report that this May Day all amendments to the union contract— no barking penelties, treat minimums, mandatory walks— have been negotiated and ratified 🫡

Happy May Day to creatures great and small. Solidarity forever 💕
Tech snafus that make our assistant mix engineer (Davey) VERY UPSET.
You open a Pro Tools session and find all the audio files are missing.
A remote guest has a virtual background on but you suspect they are sitting right next to their washing machine.
Descript crashes for the 10th time today.
New AI “feature” in the Google doc.
Any particularly harrowing tech ordeals come to mind? Commiserate with Davey in the comments 🐶🎧
How Good Eggs Make Their Eggs: Carl's Version.
Carl here. The other eggs tell me it's some kind of nasty trick to make a sandwich egg without showing the sandwich.
This is about the EGG okay??
After a long day of research documents, editing software, and emails, here are some of the ways the Good Eggs like to go analog!
Gemma 🪡
I recently got into embroidery! There’s something so satisfying about learning new stitches and creating different textures.
Nicki 🎨
I like to take out the ‘ol paint pens once in a while and draw a lil somthin’ :)
Carl 🌸
I trade my keyboard for a trowel. Here are some zinnias from sunnier days last year.
Nick 🔥
I take a page out of Davey’s book and enjoy a good fire.

Some eggy moments of late. Please ignore the cybertruck.
It’s been so fun connecting with y’all in this lil space on the internet. Experimenting with making content is fun but a lil vulnerable 🥹
We’re cooking up some fun stuff that we can’t wait to tell y’all about. Keep your peepers 👀🐣 on this space or sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop on upcoming egg projects, audio or edible 😏 at goodegg.audio/contact 🥚💕
Stories that make you feel something are a powerful vehicle for your message. More than a lecture that appeals to your logic brain, but doesn’t leave room for emotion to connect your life story to someone else’s,
and open your eyes (and heart) to their world. ❤️🔥🐣
