The candelabra has lit the rooms of palaces and courts for centuries, from Renaissance Europe to the Ottoman Empire, as a symbol of wealth and ceremony. With Schezade, we reimagined this form for a contemporary home. Crafted in cast brass, glass, and Belgian crystal over 100 hours, it is a testament to the enduring relevance of artistry. Much like our flagship store at the B1 Mall, Al Barsha, Dubai, a destination of discovery for craft and culture, where pieces like Schezade show that design is always a conversation through the ages | Contact us +97152 223 6879.

Made by hands that cannot be rushed. Schezade is an exercise in precision and patience, over 100 hours transforming material into a statement of light. The warmth is not just in the flame, but in the brass, glass, and Belgian crystals — each surface reflecting light in its own way. Discover Schezade at our flagship store at the B1 Mall, Al Barsha, Dubai, or reach out to our personal concierge for enquiries at +97152 223 6879.

Sometimes, joy looks like a small glimmering light. For Sujata Assomull, it lives in the Good Earth votives she has collected over years — still in their original boxes, each one a map of when and where she bought them. “I love keeping things in their original boxes. I like the whole unboxing experience when you’re putting them up. I remember where I bought each one; each box almost carries a bit of my history. Objects really carry emotion if you have that connection.” In our series Memory Keepers, we speak to collectors of our original designs, for whom each piece has transformed into artefact. Our latest edition features our patrons in Dubai, whose relationship with Good Earth began long before the opening of our Al Barsha flagship. There’s a festive air in Sujata Assomull’s apartment in Dubai — not because there’s an occasion, but because there doesn’t need to be one. Her Good Earth votives glow from every corner, turning an ordinary evening into one worth savouring. “I think we’re all brought up to save our silverware for when the guests come, to bring out the good plates for company. But that’s changing now. Even if I have two people over, I’ll put up the votives everywhere. It’s not about waiting for an occasion. You should celebrate every little joy.” In our series Memory Keepers, we speak to collectors of our original designs, for whom each piece has transformed into artefact. Good taste is cultivated. For Sujata Assomull, it has been shaped by years as a champion of design and craft. From paintings to antiques and objects both inherited and collected, there’s a story behind every piece in her Dubai home. A personal relationship with the maker, or the meaning.  Her Good Earth votives are very much a part of this story. “They add such warmth. And while they have a metallic, almost bling factor, it’s very subtle — that perfect balance of glamour that still feels artisanal. I’ve always looked for objects that speak of my own culture and my roots, and I’ve always believed in independent brands. When you buy from independent brands, it’s better made, it’s more personal. I don’t like cookie-cutter things.” In our series Memory Keepers, we speak to collectors of our original designs, for whom each piece has transformed into artefact. Our latest edition features our patrons in Dubai, whose relationship with Good Earth began long before the opening of our Al Barsha flagship. For Dubai-based art consultant Niharika Anand Kapur, choosing what comes into her home has always been deliberate. She believes that objects carry the energy of where they’ve been and who made them. Their journey before they reach her is as important as her relationship with them afterwards. “When I’d see a painting, I could recognise the emotion that went into the work. That energy travelled.” Her affinity for Good Earth comes from this same sensibility, where every motif on a cup has a story. The pomegranates in Anar Paradis, for instance, go back to the Silk Route, carrying centuries of meaning as a symbol of fertility and abundance across India and Persia. “One thing I learned from my years at Sotheby’s is that provenance matters. Where an object comes from, what story it carries. And that’s why collectibles are all about conversation.” In our series Memory Keepers, we speak to collectors of our original designs, for whom each piece has transformed into artefact. Our latest edition features our patrons in Dubai, whose relationship with Good Earth began long before the opening of our Al Barsha flagship. Mornings aren’t as slow as she’d like. With two children under five, there is always a rush of school drop-offs before the calm settles in. Niharika Anand Kapur, an art collector and consultant based in Dubai, finds her quiet moment later, in the garden, with a journal, pots of steaming green tea, and her Anar Paradis cups from Good Earth’s Samarqand design collection 2015. “I’d love to be a 5am mom who wakes up and has alone time before leaving, but I’m not! It starts with a rush, and then it slows down. Just a moment to pause, reflect, and think about what I need to do for the rest of the day.” In our series Memory Keepers, we speak to collectors of our original designs, for whom each piece has transformed into artefact. Our latest edition features our patrons in Dubai, whose relationship with Good Earth began long before the opening of our Al Barsha flagship. Two Good Earth cups made the journey with Niharika Anand Kapur when she moved from Mumbai to Dubai five years ago. Tucked into her suitcase, they carried India with them. For Niharika, an art collector and consultant, objects hold stories. And these Anar Paradis cups have accumulated many — slow mornings alone, afternoons with family, the ritual of tea over conversation. “When we were building this home, I wanted it deeply rooted in India, but also very contemporary, because we’re living in Dubai. That’s when I found these cups, ones we’ve returned to, over and over, across many days here.” In our series Memory Keepers, we speak to collectors of our original designs, for whom each piece has transformed into artefact. With original boxes intact and gleaming gold and platinum accents, Hanadi Merchant-Habib’s Indechine dinner collection looks almost new. It’s over a decade old. Brought to Dubai from India in three separate suitcases, it has become a consistent companion in gatherings big or small. It comes out every ten days or so — unpacked from individual boxes, butter paper still between each piece — for a girls’ book club, a sit-down dinner with friends, or a Sunday meal with family. Each occasion adding to the stories it carries. In our series Memory Keepers, we speak to collectors of our original designs, for whom each piece has transformed into artefact. When a dinner set carries a lineage of taste. Journalist Hanadi Merchant-Habib inherited her mother’s eye for quality design. Pieces from over 20 years ago, still in use today, set the standard for Hanadi’s own home in Dubai. Her wedding china, a Good Earth Indechine collection, continues that ethos. She already knows it will go to her daughter someday. In our series Memory Keepers, we speak to collectors of our original designs, for whom each piece has transformed into artefact. In journalist Hanadi Merchant-Habib’s (@hanadimhabib ) Dubai home, Islamic calligraphy hangs alongside antique chandeliers, paintings and sculptures of horses fill walls and corners. Every object was chosen on purpose, often on impulse. “If I love something, I find a way to get it. But I’m drawn to things that are handmade, that I won’t find elsewhere.” Her Good Earth Indechine dinner set, now a decade in her home, is an extension of that instinct. “When a brand champions a craft, you don’t just own a beautiful object but become part of the story.” In our series Memory Keepers, we speak to collectors of our original designs, for whom each piece has transformed into artefact.
