I’m not sure what happens on the other side, but I like to imagine there’s a special place for artists — a place where they can create freely, without judgment or fear. Without the weight of money, corporations, reputation, or ignorant criticism. A place where the sacred act of creation exists peacefully and naturally. To me, an artist is just a conscious creator — someone who absorbs, reimagines, and transforms what they experience into something new. A good one can channel life itself into art, and in doing so, make something that resonates beyond themselves. The world doesn’t make it easy for us to live this way, but even so, we continue to create — because despite every unnatural obstacle, we remain artists in our own right. My dad did this effortlessly throughout his life. Whether through drawing, dancing, making music, or cooking, he showed me that it’s all one and the same — different expressions of the same creator spirit. Today I honor my favorite artist of all time, Kobie Cabral — and all who are brave enough to keep making. 🕊️🛸❤️🪩
