Thanks to @sylk.techno for the invite to his Suspects night at @unter.deck . It really means a lot to me. Sylk played for the last Counterweight night and it feels so nice to kind of ‘close’ the loop playing for his night :) Playing records in a club in front of the crowd brought back too many memories and feelings of the past. It was amazing to see so many ‘old party people’ from the old Counterweight times there… it was really really nice. I started playing ‘publicly’ in 2014 (I had to google it😂) and I had been playing regularly till 2024. In 2025 I only played once before last Saturday (at the amazing Blitz 🙌) During these last years I did many things …. Some of them better than others 😅 I ran a party, a label, I produced music … but what I always loved the most is playing records. This Saturday reminded me that and I can’t get it out of my mind. I just love it. I love going there and show you my ‘vision’, the mix of records that would make me move and dance, the records that mean something to me. Playing records & risking every transition, smelling the fog, hearing the crowd feeling it, seeing the strobe… Thanks again for the party! Let’s see what the future brings….

PRE LISTEN.Dilemma Podcast 138 Gonzo MDF from Munich (Germany). The Dj, Producer and co-founder of the label Counterweight was born in the 80s in Andalucia (Spain) and is since 2010 based in Munich. After years playing records and organizing underground events in the city, in 2016 Marco H and Gonzo founded the party series and record label “Counterweight”. The legendary party took place at the stunning Rote Sonne for 7 years. Since the beginning, Counterweight was characterized for its “rough and purist sound” and they focused the bookings on acts that didn’t play in the city before such as Dax J, Stranger, Sunil Sharpe or Freddy K, just to name a few. The Spanish artist has released several solo EP’s in Counterweight imprint as well as appearances in other international labels such as Obscuur Records, RUDE Trax, Enotaktik or Konflkt. Gonzo’s sets could be defined by only one word: action. Looking forward to this one! Rote Sonne is turning 19 years old and they are celebrating it with this full weekender madness party. Catch me Saturday morning playing after one of my favorite DJs all around @whoisstrangernl and right before one of the best from Munich @kareemelmorr I couldn’t ask for a better company in the booth 😅 It feels like I haven’t played for ages 😅 and I can’t wait to feel the vibe with y’all again. 😘

I have no pictures to share from the weekend/all night (what a surprise…) but I just wanted to say THANK U. Thanks for coming, for the nice messages and nice words in any media (real or virtual 😅) It was a hard day for a club night in Munich having +30°C outside but at the end it worked out. I think I danced as much as you 😂 I loved it and I could have played 10 hours more. Big love to my close circle who came down and gave full power from the beginning till the end. You are amazing. 🙏🏻 probably our last time…. I enjoyed it while it lasted 😘
