Check out our amazing students that participated in our successful 4th Annual Student Leadership Day that took place yesterday, Thursday, April 30th at our District Office and partnering Cities of Commerce, Bell Gardens, Montebello, Pico Rivera, Monterey Park and for the first year Río Hondo College! Students took on the roles of School Board Members, City Council Members, District, College, and City Leadership, giving students a real world understanding of the policy and decision-making process. This gave students a behind the scenes and hands on experience into what it takes to operate an educational and city agency and engage in discussions on real-world community issues. Through these experiences, students developed a deeper understanding of public service, policymaking, and civic engagement. This event challenged students to think critically, solve problems, and engage deeply with the material and issues they are learning, ultimately cultivating a strong foundation of knowledge and skills. #musdstudentleadershipday!
