Gangs all here🧸 coming out of hibernation to say a quick hi and thank you, so much of January to now is a testament to our locals. Keeping us going when it’s miserable weather, slow for us all, and what feels like a constant stream of terrible things happening in the world being fed to us every second of every day. What does feel good is being a tiny speck of warm in all this cold, and turning a corner knowing more is coming. As we pick up the pace and more people are walking around, taking your parking spots, and filling your favorite places- know that we remember who’s here when it really really counts, and every winter we make it out with the bills paid it’s because of you…🌹 see you tomorrow for a jumpstart to the weekend, filled with temps I might cry over. What can we say? another year with you feels like a dream.💝 we’ve been met with so much love, appreciation, and patience navigating a really difficult year. We’re 2 young people and a small, strong team- no endless stream of income, no big names behind us, just people who love going to work at a job that feels real. We have been boots on the ground locked in with the best events and of course 🫦servingggg🫦 our fall menu while getting through the seasonal shift and with the year rolling by I was thinking about all the milestones so many of you shared with us whether it’s a break up, engagement, new baby, new job, hired, fired, starting a business, getting back to school- and how much easier taking on the rest of this turbulent world feels when we have a web of people that make every day feel a little better🫶🏻 if you’re still reading I want to send you to our friends at @lockandshade and @mood.estheticstudio who are taking donations for our local food pantries, but if dropping off at Goldrush feels easier we are happy to take them on your behalf. I’ve worked with Trinity church here in Asbury Park and I can’t recommend a better recipient of any and all donations. Community isn’t just your friends and the places you like to eat and shop, it isnt always easy and it oftentimes requires radical forgiveness of those you may not agree with or understand, but with this logic if there’s ever a time that you need help… your outstretched hand would be filled too. This was our summer and you want us to… what? Just forget about it??? we’re hanging on tight over here. September has become a favorite of mine and we plan to ride this thing out until local summer comes to a close! No fall drinks until I say so.☝🏼 we’re sending two of our baristas back to college and it’s ruining my life because we love them so much. They work so hard and are far beyond their years, everyone tell Emily and jalissa u want to see them on weekends🤨😀 Luckily, we have a month ahead filled with smash burgers, baklava ice cream, and a finale of a show for teenagers that needs to be unpacked. Don’t rush me, we’ll talk fall when those leaves drop 🍑🫐🍓🌽🍦💫
Don’t know how we all managed it but Asbury park squeezed an entire summer into the month of july🤠 still riding the best wave of all the love and tenderness and sweet juicy excitement. It’s been a packed house with drinks and treats flying and all our people showing up in the best way. Our friends are so talented and so in love with what they do, and it feels like I leave every conversation sharper, excited, and learning something new. if you haven’t been to one of our after hours events there will be more chances in August.. meet you there?💛💫 sooooo much love from your Goldrush fam
