Goldleaf is having a GRAND RE-OPENING on Saturday, March 22, from 10 am - 5 pm.
A few years ago, I decided to take a break from social media in favor of a healthier work-life balance. Being present and in the moment with my two beautiful children has always come first. Goldleaf never technically closed, but we have completely remodeled after the store suffered water damage from a burst frozen pipe.
The new Goldleaf is spectacular and a whole new vibe. We have a ton of new products and will be announcing the launch of our new website as we count down to the Grand Re-Opening on 3/22.
Goldleaf is now solely under my operation. After nearly 9 years in business I have experienced having to relocate the store in December 2019, survived COVID, saw the birth of my second child, started a farmers market, and have seen my store destroyed by water damage. Through the toughest times, it’s been my customers who have kept me going telling me thank you for being here; we need you, man. It’s a privilege to do what I love. It’s truly a pleasure to have the trust of my customers and serve as a hub for my community. I am resilient and devoted to continue building this business which is so special.

There are few better feelings than spending 30-60 minutes on the phone with a customer and at the end they tell you, “You know, Kyle, I really enjoyed our conversation. That brought back some great memories.”
This particular customer and I were discussing how he moved to Hawaii in 1967 at 18 years old with $50 in his pocket. A lot was happening in the culture and industry at that time, particularly in Hawaii. (Read the book Orange Sunshine and watch the movie Rainbow Bridge.)
I’ve taken the last couple months off social media which I would recommend to anyone. We had a nice holiday with our newborn and then the whole family of four got sick (no COVID), and we ended up taking our 2-month-old to the emergency room and spending 3 days in the hospital. Not the way we wanted to start the New Year!
I just wanted to say how much we appreciate every single one of our customers at Goldleaf Hydroponics, coast to coast and beyond!
We are all back in good health, and the retail store is open Monday-Saturday 10-7. Thanks to those who were understanding with our temporary change in hours. Now, back to the growing!!
