My song “Dream” featuring
@kaylan.arnold is the song you’re hearing on this trailer, and that alone feels like a full circle moment I don’t take lightly.
God truly engineered Meal Ticket to grow me. This is the first project where I am officially receiving credit for contributing to the score, something I have dreamed about for years. But beyond the credit, this experience changed me as a man, artist, and collaborator.
I met incredible people on this journey.
@chrisp1 , now the DP of Spur of the Moment, a mentor and real friend I have learned so much from.
@doctorzeuss , one of the most skilled audio minds I know, who changed my life simply by being kind enough to have a real conversation with someone who felt invisible at the time.
I built real friendships with
@c3hreepo and
@c.sabbs . Corey listened to my music and said, “Greg gonna end up making a theme song for the movie.” Carlton, the visionary he is, told me, “I want a choir, piano, and big strings.” Neither of them knew I was actually going to go home and create exactly that.
Shout out to my boy
@samir4gtg , one of the producers, for playing my music in the car on the way to the airport and exposing my sound to the directors early on. He believed in me, co signed me, and stood on that belief. A true friend.
@billyburke went to bat for me, coaching me, advocating for me, and making sure I was involved, that my music was placed, and that I received proper credit. That kind of support changes everything.
I also had the blessing of bringing in my God sister
@kaylan.arnold . She does not need me, she is already doing big things, but being able to create with family is special. Especially as she was relocating to LA chasing her dreams and absolutely killing it. I am so proud of you.
None of this would be possible without the men who believed in me and continue to give me space to grow, create, and become everything God put in me to be. My brothers
@coodierock ,
@cozah , and
@paykev , thank you for the guidance, the wisdom, and for teaching me not just what to ask for, but how to ask for it. And cant forget
@kclayster for showing me how to work hard on a set. Love
