Sheng Jie @gogoj In her music, she explores narrative and spatial relationships, diving into everything from the origins of sound to sensory composition. Her works encompass images, sound, installations, and live performances. Her debut album Oviparous [co-produced by Maybe Noise (China) and WV Sorcerer Productions (France) ] was named one of the 50 best albums of 2020 by the British music magazine The Wire. Her second solo album, Review, released in 2023 on the British label Dusty Ballz, was featured on the BBC Freeness radio program and included in The Quietus’s list of the best records of the first half of 2023. “This recording was made by chance in Ali, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, in 2014.
