How do you disentangle life from art? For Belinda Fox, the two are in constant conversation. Our latest release, Cultivate, traces the extraordinary 10-year trajectory of Fox’s career—from her roots in printmaking to her immersive large-scale installations and delicate glasswork. This second monograph captures a decade of stories, milestones, and the "quiet rebellion" of making art in a world in flux. Featuring a foreword by Danny Lacy and essays by John McDonald and Sophie Travers, Cultivate is an intimate record of resilience and hope. ✨ Discover the beauty beneath the surface. #BelindaFox #Cultivate #OROEditions #GoffBooks #ContemporaryArt

Once, this existed only in fragments— scattered thoughts, fleeting images, quiet questions. Somehow, through six years, it kept asking to be finished, to be given form—to be born. And I stayed with it long enough to see it through. Now it lives not just with me, but with anyone who chooses to step into it— as something you can hold, flip through, and return to. For those who’ve only seen the cover, this is a small glimpse of what’s inside— not in close detail, but enough to feel its rhythm. 𝑰𝒏 𝑺𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑴𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈. Where images hold what words cannot, and words meet them halfway— offering both a visual and inner landscape to move through, meant to be seen as much as it is read. On World Book and Copyright Day, I’m proud and grateful to be part of a lineage of writers stretching back to the very beginning of written thought, and to place this work, however humbly, among shelves that have carried stories for generations. Through language, a private thought becomes something others can enter— this is how we find one another. Three years on, it continues to find its way into the hands it was meant to reach. — Published by @goffbooks (an imprint of @oroeditions ), Novato, CA April 2023 Limited to 1,000 copies worldwide Video courtesy of @unobtainium.store #WorldBookDay #WorldBookAndCopyrightDay #InSearchforMeaningBook #MindAwakeEyesOpen #FelisaTan

CREATIVITY IS THE CURE PODCAST Season 3 - Episode 12: Andre Howard discusses how creativity affects his work, personal life and spirituality. His new photography book, Hitting the Head, is a compelling photography and art book that dives deep into the heart of New York City’s iconic dive bar scene.  Howard began his career in the A&R department of Def Jam segueing into artist management working for Family Tree Entertainment & Violator alongside artists like Fantasia, Missy Elliott, Pharoahe Monch, Busta Rhymes and many more. Currently as VP, Digital + Commerce at ADA/WMG, he provides partners with expertise and guidance to build their digital marketing narrative(s) and ultimately drive a larger volume of fan acquisition, discovery, engagement and streaming. Howard works hand-in-hand with the Warner Music commercial teams and alongside DSP’s to present our Hip-Hop & R&B repertoire and position ADA as best-in-class in a genre that’s dominating pop culture. Topics include; New York City, photography, dive bars, The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, synesthesia, Goff Books, Jean-Michel Basquiat , David Byrne, DDK, Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes, Hype Williams, Wu-Tang Clan, After Hours(1985) and Barfly (1987). @drehoward @hittingthehead @mmmusicfactory @kekoxsticks #photography #divebar @goffbooks #booktok

Can one word spark two completely different worlds? 🌎✏️ Project 2 Craigs documents a fascinating year-long experiment between photographer Craig Cutler and illustrator Craig Frazier. Their challenge was simple but profound: respond to the same one-word prompt every week for a year, with absolutely zero communication between them. The result is a stunning collection of side-by-side images that celebrate the "visual dialogue" between photography and illustration. This book offers a rare look into the creative process, showing how discipline and mystery can unlock the vault of ideas. Whether you are a designer, artist, or just love a good creative challenge, this book is an invitation to look closer and make with purpose. #Project2Craigs #CraigCutler #CraigFrazier #VisualDialogue #CreativeProcess

Beyond thrilled to have received a Creative Australia International Travel Fund Grant to go to launch my new monograph ‘Cultivate’ at the San Francisco Art Fair with @maybaumgallery in April. Published by @goffbooks - @oro_editions - so exciting to celebrate this milestone first in USA then Sydney will follow ✌️ Any artist will tell you how hard it is to get funding these days so this one is really special. Can’t wait to meet collectors and see the fair and sign books and hang out in beautiful #sanfrancisco for a week. More details to come. Thank you @creative.australia 🙏 #sanfranciscoart #artbooks #newwork #travelgrant #gratitude This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its principal arts investment and advisory body.

Ever wonder what happened to the first patterns you noticed as a child? 🧸✨ Before digital screens and mass-produced plastics, a child’s world was tactile—woven into cotton cloth, hand-stitched into rag dolls, and printed onto "indestructible" muslin books. In her latest masterpiece, Remnants of Childhood, Susan Meller takes us on a nostalgic journey through the printed textiles of yesteryear. From the "glamour sacks" of the Depression era to whimsical animal parades and nursery prints, this book is a vibrant archive of design history and childhood innocence. 🧵🎨 Whether you’re a textile lover, a history buff, or simply a "child at heart," this book is the perfect escape into a beautiful, bygone era. 📖💕 #RemnantsOfChildhood #TextileDesign #VintageStyle #HistoryOfDesign #AntiqueTextiles

Happy birthday to Bessie Potter Vonnoh (1872-1955) born on August 17, 1872! Best known for her small bronzes of domestic scenes and her garden fountains, Vonnoh created the centerpiece for an English garden located between 103rd and 106th Streets along the eastern perimeter of Fifth Avenue in Central Park, New York. The sculpture group within a lily pond of a girl holding a bowl and a boy below her playing the flute is based on the characters of Mary and Dickon from The Secret Garden (1910), a classic written by Frances Eliza Hodgson Burnett (1849-1924). In Burnett's story, the two children find a secret garden and bring it back to life.

Happy birthday to Berenice Abbott (1898-1991), born on July 17, 1898. Known for her portraits of cultural figures and photographs of New York City architectural landmarks, Abbott documented contrasting geometric shapes created by the contours of buildings using unusual camera angles. In her photograph of Murray Hill Hotel, Spiral, 112 Park Avenue, 1935, newer architectural forms are juxtaposed against an older building across the street to create a jazzy interplay of disparate elements as a visual metaphor for the essence of the city. #bereniceabbott #nyny
