Great food, fun games, and sweet fellowship filled the day as we celebrated the incredible God's Pit Crew Immediate Response and Truck Shop volunteers with a special cookout at GPC Headquarters!
Faithful red-shirt volunteers serve tirelessly behind the scenes and on the front lines, helping prepare trucks, organize supplies, and respond when disaster strikes so hope can continue reaching families in need. ❤️
To each volunteer who gives your time, talents, and love so selflessly: thank you for being part of the crew! You are more appreciated than our words can ever express.

Two churches joined together this week at God's Pit Crew headquarters to help pack Blessing Buckets, replenishing critical inventory so these life-giving supplies are ready to deploy at a moment’s notice when disaster strikes. Because when families are hurting and communities are devastated, every moment matters.
Each and every Blessing Bucket is carefully packed with more than 30 essential relief items designed to bring comfort, care, and practical help to someone hurting in the aftermath of disaster. One Blessing Bucket is filled with critical relief to help one person get through the immediate days following a severe disaster.
As you scroll through these photos, can you spot some of the important items being packed inside?
Thank you to every volunteer who gave their time, energy, and servant hearts to help move hope forward. ❤️🩹

God's Pit Crew is grateful to walk alongside @samaritanspurse and help bring hope to families in communities impacted by Hurricane Helene. Through their generous support and partnership, multiple individuals and families are now receiving the blessing of safe, secure housing and the opportunity for a new beginning.
A powerful reminder of what can happen when the Body of Christ comes together to serve others with compassion and a shared purpose.
To God be all the glory for every home provided and every blessing shared with those continuing to recover and rebuild.

This year alone, God’s Pit Crew has deployed nearly 5,000 Blessing Buckets to communities devastated by tornadoes, wildfires, and deadly winter weather – and provided 14 fully furnished homes to families displaced with no where to call 'home.'
Now, through the God's Pit Crew Relief Registry Powered by @walmart , you can send the supplies that make these relief efforts possible. Every item donated helps provide comfort, care, and practical help to families and communities recovering after disaster. Bathroom and hygiene necessities, cleaning supplies, household essentials and so much are currently needed for families rebuilding their lives, and each item given helps move hope forward.

The Church is the Body of Christ, and in moments like these, that truth is seen so clearly.
At The Brook Church in Brookhaven, MS, volunteers are faithfully serving their community with crucial relief supplies delivered by God's Pit Crew following the recent deadly tornado outbreak. Families walking through unimaginable loss are being met with help, compassion, prayer, and resources.
Among the supplies being distributed are God’s Pit Crew children’s Play Pails – special containers filled with hygiene items, blankets, toys, and comfort supplies designed to bring encouragement and distraction to children during some of the hardest days of their young lives. Just as meaningful, the outside of each Play Pail is lovingly and prayerfully decorated with handwritten messages, drawings, and words of hope for the child who will receive it after disaster strikes.
And this is where the story comes full circle in such a powerful way...
Some of the very Play Pails now bringing comfort to children in South Mississippi were packed by volunteers from Rolling Fork First Baptist Church. In 2023, their own community experienced devastating tornado damage, and God’s Pit Crew responded with relief supplies and support during that difficult season. After seeing firsthand how important those resources were for families in need, the church rallied together with their community last year to help pack more than 1,000 Blessing Buckets and Play Pails for future disaster responses.
What they did not know at the time was that some of the supplies they prayerfully prepared would one day be sent right back into Mississippi – helping neighbors just up the road facing devastating tornado damage of their own.
Thank you to The Brook Church and Rolling Fork First Baptist Church for being the hands and feet of Jesus and showing the love of Christ in such a meaningful way during a time of great need. ❤️🩹

Multiple tractor-trailer loads of critical relief supplies are being dispatched from God's Pit Crew headquarters in Danville, VA, as our crew sends relief following the deadly tornado outbreak across South Mississippi.
Over the next several days, these supplies will be delivered to distribution sites in Bogue Chitto, Purvis, and Brookhaven to help families and communities impacted by the devastating storms. Each load is being packed intentionally with the specific needs of each location in mind and includes Blessing Buckets, children’s Play Pails, bottled water, sports drinks, diapers, bleach, bedding, and shelf-stable food supplies ready to be distributed directly into the hands of those in need.
This marks the second time this year our crew has responded to help communities in Mississippi following disaster after previously serving the state during the ice storm earlier this year.
Please continue praying for every family affected by these tornadoes, for first responders and emergency personnel, and for the drivers as they travel and deliver the crucial supplies. 🙏

We are honored to be part of Tamara’s story after living through devastation during Hurricane Helene and now entering a new chapter in her life...
When Hurricane Helene struck, Tamara was serving others through Yancey County Emergency Management. While she was helping her community respond, her own home was swept completely off its foundation.
She told our crew how it wasn’t until about a week after the storm that the reality set in... everything she had was gone. But even in the loss, God was writing a new story.
Today, Tamara is a first-time homeowner on her family’s land in Green Mountain, North Carolina – property that has been in her family for four generations. A place her family always dreamed of building on, but never knew how. Through the storm, a way was made.
Thanks to the love and dedication of God's Pit Crew volunteers and supporters, that dream has become a home.

For the Young family, their new home stands as a place of peace after so much uncertainty. As they walked through the door, they were met with the joy of answered prayers, surrounded by the volunteers who stood with them every step of the way.
Together, they paused to pray giving thanks for God’s provision and faithfulness. In those moments of embrace and gratitude, what once felt so far away became reality. 🙏
