100 years ago, master chocolatier, Pierre Draps, founded GODIVA with the goal of bringing joy to his wife through our signature Belgian truffles.
His wife, Eugénie Draps, would then go on to introduce our iconic gold packaging: a symbol of artistry and craftsmanship that remains true today.
Guided by devotion, creativity, and care—values that would come to define everything we create—they eventually landed on the name GODIVA, inspired by the legend of Lady Godiva, a symbol of romance, boldness, and passion.
