After 25 years, I’ve finally finished my bike messenger novel! I was a full time messenger in Boston from 93-2004 and loved every wretched minute of it. Once i made a fake law firm called Cleyberne and Gessmic(anagram) and hand delivered chapters to Boston’s number one literary agent. It took inspiration from @kevinrheault to push me over the finish line. Anyone know any publishers or literary agents!?
In the shadow of Boston’s financial towers during the chaos of the Big Dig, a crew of bicycle messengers discovers insider information about a secret bank merger and turns the city itself into a stage for rebellion. Racing through alleyways, loading docks, Chinatown lofts, and corporate skyscrapers, Goldmund and his fellow couriers exploit the hidden circulatory system of the pre-digital city while staging increasingly theatrical protest actions against the institutions transforming downtown Boston into a landscape of speculation and surveillance.
Part literary noir, part urban fever dream, The Messenger captures a vanished world of messengers, artists, musicians, drunks, activists, and outsiders moving through the cracks of late-1990s Boston. Haunted by the city’s buried history — from the Molasses Flood to the Coconut Grove fire — the novel layers financial conspiracy, historical catastrophe, and subcultural mythology into a portrait of a city hurtling toward collapse at the dawn of the twenty-first century.

Nearly there. The next image will be final. Fleshing in lots of details with tiny brushes. This is only 19 x 13 inches btw and the image was taken the week of Rene Goods assassination. It really captures this past winter for me.
Thanks to @skahistoryhour for a super fun interview. We can't wait for @413ska Pioneer Valley Ska Fest coming this July. It is a huge honor to headline a festival with so many kick ass bands. Let the ska freak flag fly. To my Thumper family, I love you all and can't wait to rip it up once again. here's the link /watch?v=pXJIDzXSzho
Packaging the first batch of Tone Pictures. There are still some left in the edition. For $100 you get the first published use of my Claude Mellan Spiral Encoder. It’s an image of Walt Whitman made with sound waves and phase variation. The image drawn with sound. A rare achievement in vinyl history. 3 sessions later… one of the hardest things to paint is air or at least a feeling of air. This painting is starting to have it. I can see the finish line on the horizon up ahead.
Just realized we are coming up on the 15th anniversary of Never Records Derry. Have you ever watched the award winning film we made? Features amazing artists and musicians from NI including @markgarryartist@ryanvail@stephen_mccauley@okaneconor and many more! /71144105

Paintings are lie detectors. If you do not paint that which you love, it shows. The art world is overripe with liars. When i find my self straying from this ideal, I’ll correct my path by painting with love.
Devorah, 2021. Oil on Canvas. 24 x 18 inches.
