"Days of Jor" is the first single from the Esoteric Ebb Original Soundtrack, out digitally on Tuesday March 3 (NOT concurrent with the game's release - just so there's no confusion).
@esotericebbofficial is an upcoming video game by Christoffer Bodegård, published by @rawfury , and the soundtrack is by @andersbachshorthair , @brianbatz and Kristian Paulsen and artwork by @oscar_westberg
Bandcamp pre-order for the double LP is up now! All pre-orders of the vinyl will also receive a download of the 22 tracks from Vol. 2 (a future, otherwise digital only release) once Vol. 1 releases on March 3.

Tonight marks a very special collaboration between myself and writer Jonas Eika. The deep intimacy, rhythm and science fiction of their writing is a tender and deeply inspirational key to very direct music. I’m looking forward to share the stage with them tonight. These vastly frenetic tracks have followed me around for years: tectonic shifts and subtle weaves of fun and love and desolation have moulded them into what they are. Nothing would’ve happened had it not been for the individuals involved: Brian, Angel, Sam, Claus, Anders, Ida, Lorenzo, Fei and Xavier. I’m forever grateful to you.
True names are in abundance in this endeavor, so I’ll make it brief:

My dear friend Johan has been a constant of support and faith in the years it’s taken me to make this music. During this time he gifted me a book by T.S. Eliot, which became the inspirational embrace I needed to let myself go. Now lacking the words to do the same for this album, I’ll leave that to a quote from East Coker:
“So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.
Whisper of running streams, and winter lightning.
The wild thyme unseen and the wild strawberry,
The laughter in the garden, echoed ecstasy
Not lost, but requiring, pointing to the agony

This is the last song I wrote for the upcoming album and was always intended as an album-closer. It is a gentle, final exhale, and I want it to linger and remain. It is a ballad for everyone who has lost.
@balfua created this somber and calm journey through the underworld. One long shot, slow movements; avatars of death dancing, guardians looming, a dragon soaring at the gates that bloom and open from this side. Sam, I love you for making visible what I shakingly tried to convey with words.
This song is dedicated to my siblings.
