If you’re looking for a dance show that truly speaks through movement and storytelling, A DANCE IN A DAY IN A DANCE is one to watch.
Featuring award-winning works by JM Cabling, this production beautifully reflects the journey of dance artists across different generations — from student artists learning inside the studio to becoming artists carrying their own voice and experiences forward. It opens subtle conversations about teaching, growth, mentorship, and the evolving relationships within dance spaces.
What makes it even more exciting is the cast lineup — artists from different generations of the contemporary dance community sharing one stage. Every cast brings a different kind of energy: rawness, beauty, intensity, freshness, and honesty.

My Pahid Journey🥹
The piece PAHID really started from the question “Why?”. This question became the starting point that helped shape Kuya Evan’s ideas about what he wanted to create. The background of the work is very personal to him, and it follows a narrative based on his own experiences, memories, and reflections about life and change. A big part of the piece also comes from his childhood in Butuan City, where he spent a lot of time with his friends. His kababata or tropa became one of his main sources of inspiration. He drew from those memories and experiences while creating the piece, using them to give more meaning and direction to his work. For him, these experiences were not just memories—they helped shape the piece because he believed that everything has a purpose. The questions in his mind also played an important role. These are questions he wants to understand and find answers to, and they became part of the process of creating PAHID as a reflection of his journey, his past, and his search for meaning. As I went through the whole process, I realized something important. Instead of us simply telling or showing Kuya Evan’s story or identity, what actually happened was different. The piece slowly became a space where our own stories and identities were being expressed. It felt like, in the end, what was being shared was not just his story, but also ours.
CALL FOR ENTRIES | Dance Sutra 2026
A platform for choreographic explorations that dwell within time, examining how movement transforms a single moment.
“What does it mean to fully live within a moment?”
TIME is the central theme of this dance competition, focusing on the experience of fully inhabiting a single moment. Time is approached as a continuous condition in which movement exists, rather than something that allows return or progression.
Participants are invited to explore how the body engages with a moment through presence, sensation, and sustained attention. Through contemporary dance vocabulary, choreographies may examine how a moment expands, deepens, or transforms through duration, repetition, stillness, or physical focus. Rather than narrating a timeline, works are encouraged to dwell within time—revealing how meaning emerges when a moment is fully lived and embodied through movement.

Every repetition, correction, and progression all led to this moment.
The first and second year students closing the semester together, through the work we’ve been shaping the whole term. Guided by Tr. Max Luna III, this class reflected the discipline, focus, and growth that defined our Horton journey. ✨💃🏻

We are honored to perform for Cavite’s Fashion Congress 2025 conceptualized by Vice Mayor Jacinta Remulla, where we danced alongside Guang Ming Theater Ensemble, Chorus, Ritmo, and Cuerdas. We are even more proud to say that this performance was headed by our GMDP council. ✨
From conceptualizing the pieces, choreographing every movement, and designing and creating our own costumes, we stepped on stage with confidence and pride that this is our craft, our creativity, and our collective passion.
This is GMDP.
This is student artistry in motion.
And this is only the beginning.
