Crucial Updates in the Sidewall Repair Process:
1. You can sand the surface down with sand paper that’s included in all of our kits, a sanding flap wheel from our Tire Prep Kit or a grinder. The key is to get a flat surface while not heating up the rubber. This will chemically change the rubber.
2. Apply your adhesive to the patch, not the tire. Less adhesive is better.
3. Make sure you have at least a half inch around the damaged area that’s sanded down and covered with a sidewall patch.
