As we celebrate 10 years of L’Avyanna, our hearts are not just full of gratitude for the highs, but also for the humbling lows that shaped us. This video? A throwback to the many ways Lagos landlords used us as a case study 😫😫 before we finally found a place to call home 🥰. It is not that I never fought back 😡😡 because trust me, I am a fighter when it comes to injustice. But I quickly learnt that time spent wallowing over unfair treatment can cripple your business in more ways than one. I struggled to post this at first because it actually made me sad as I reflected. It reminded me of the things I have lost on this journey of entrepreneurship. But I did promise you L’Avyanna Unfiltered. As one of my sisters said to me when she watched the video, “All I see is growth”. I knew I had to watch this with gratitude to God. A business started with just N250k and a modest idea. When I first shared our 10-year anniversary intro video, I had grand plans to share 10 perfectly curated stories. You knowwww… that whole “content is king” thing. 😌 But the truth? There is nothing curated about being an entrepreneur in Africa and definitely not in Nigeria. Yes, I have some polished clips. But the real ones? The unfiltered moments sitting in my phone gallery? Those speak my truth. With everything happening in my life right now, I’ll share not as the algorithm demands, but as real life permits. It may not be a perfect 10. There is no content calendar. Review of the @glow.code complexion corrector maxi-tone face cream. Hi beauties! 👋 here's a very much requested review. First thing to fall in love with is the packaging of this product.  It looks so beautiful and makes you want to take it with you everywhere you go. The packaging is glass-like but also strong and has survived many falls from my table and shelf. The texture is a bit thick but not too much and it layers so well on the skin. It is moisturing and leaves a slightly glowy look on the skin. The fragrance is my second favourite part. It's smell so good and yet so mild. (Weird fact; I've open and smelt this product more times than a normal person should) Some ingredients in this product are : Soduim hyaluronate, licorice, alpha arbutin, retinol, kojic, niacimamide,  rosehip oil, and shea butter. As you probably already have guessed, this product targets hyperpigmentaion. Does it work?! Yes!!! I would recommend using this face cream alone. Why??? I noticed that every time i try to use a serum before the cream, my skin gets comfortable and sometimes sting. Another tip to share with you is that you should not use too much of this product at once. Just use a little and that will do. Overall, i think this is a really great moisturer, it checks all the boxes for me and i love it.
