Expect evolving styles in limited quantities, shifting gently between ready to wear essentials, runway exclusives, cross continental collaborations, experimental upcycled testers, and new ranges still finding their language. Nothing is held still for too long. The space is meant to move, just as the brand does.

In her welcome remarks, our Founder and Creative Director reflected on her grandfather, and on the many others once drawn to Johannesburg through the gold rush. Decades later, his descendant carries a golden rush of her own, traced through Glotto’s signature gold embroidery, carried by the Glotto Gid Family, and now continuing in the journey that has brought Glotto into Johannesburg.

For our first physical presence in Johannesburg, we hosted an intimate sensory night inside the Glottovers, where we spoke in tongues of texture and allowed an organic, playful mingling of guests adorned in Glotto pieces spanning different eras of the brand. ✨
Light moved across velvet, pleats, corduroy, shirting, macramé and cow-horn detail, while candles, cocktails, canapés and music carried the room. Guests arrived already wearing the brand in their own way, and the mannequins held the rest of the story in place.

Unfolding through warm timber interiors, luminous lines, and an ever revolving curation of garments and accessories, our store space brings Glotto’s language into physical form. Rich textures, fluid silhouettes, and cow-horn accents establish a material vocabulary shaped by depth, and contemporary African expression. At launch, DJ sets by @itsolootu and @phodii_dj alongside a live performance by @wndrszn and the energy of community, gave the space its living pulse..

We’re excited to present @glottobrand - an eCommerce redesign project rooted in culture, craft, and intention.
Founded in Botswana, Glotto creates seasonless, genderless garments inspired by the textures of the Sub-Saharan landscape. Each piece is designed as a wearable archive, shaped through community-led production and ancestral knowledge.
The new site brings together storytelling and commerce - allowing the brand’s vision, values, and collections to move clearly and confidently across borders.
