Our first ever pop up and we think it won’t be the last xx
Community is what we are all about at Glory Us, and we are thrilled to be sharing our kitchen with Evie tonight for her first ever pop up. She’s got some pho real beef pho ready to roll, and chicken and prawn spring rolls served with the works obviously.
A brilliantly passionate home cook, cooking is one of Evies love languages. She is so kind and thoughtful and always bring me in the most amazing and nourishing meals. She supports our small business and its certainly time to give some of the love back. Its my pleasure to support her tonight, share our kitchen and see where this pop up takes us.
Tash has put together a delicious drinks list, Tori will be on drinks and floor. Evie’s husband Mike will be on fryer section and the playlist.

A cafe and hospitality give back initiative….
I hope to action change for the hospitality industry, it’s been in my life since I was 11 years old. I live and breathe it. I want to do my best through these difficult trading times to educate, come together and support each other. I believe we build beautiful communities around our venues, I also believe we build better ones if we as owners and operators come together as our own community to lean on each other. It’s fucking hard.
It’s no secret cafe owners and operators are facing difficulties with the current economic climate. Cafe ownership is an incredibly lonely and frustrating role, the margins are low and odds certainly don’t work in our favour like other business models. Regardless of our level of expertise, level, location we can come together and support each other.
Mental health, education (for both customers and ourselves) costings, relationships, social media, the many many logistical challenges we face, these are front and centre to what I want this project and platform to be about. It is not a money making idea. It’s about community. Support and trying to keep this industry afloat. We are the backbone to Melbournes cafe scene. We are a dying breed and I believe if we come together a bit more it can make some incredible changes.
We will have guest speakers and run a sort of panel each night. My intention is to share resources, learn things and have an open floor to talk and come together. I am happy to share any of my spreadsheets, costings, templates and IP.
