Imagine what our world would be like if every young person could say, “I Travel.” Since 2008, our award winning programs have served over 9,000 students + teachers and provided $17M to make travel possible for students from 100 high schools and youth organizations across the United States. Funded by hundreds of individual donors and leading companies like @unitedairlines , @expediagroup , @away , and Snap Inc., every student who attends one of our partner schools is eligible for a need-based scholarship. Once accepted, our students engage in pre-trip workshops that prepare them to participate in a structured 11-day international experience focused on service-learning, cultural immersion, and leadership development in Panama, Costa Rica, or the Dominican Republic. The Global Glimpse program is thoughtfully designed to expand perspectives, bridge divides, and unlock leadership potential so teens can differentiate themselves and change the world, one little bit at a time. This summer, seven Global Glimpse alumni from California are returning... not as students, but as leaders! They've been there. They know what it feels like to not know the group you're traveling with but to take a leap of faith in the experience, and to be changed for the better because of it. And now they are showing up to create that experience for the next generation of Glimpsers. We’re proud to share that Rob Torres is joining the Global Glimpse Board of Directors! A longtime leader in the travel industry, Rob most recently served as Senior Vice President at Expedia Group and previously spent over 15 years at Google, leading travel advertising and partnerships. Across his career, he has worked at the intersection of technology, marketing, and hospitality, helping shape how the global travel industry connects with and serves travelers. As a member of our Board of Champions, Rob has already played a key role in strengthening partnerships and expanding opportunities for the next generation of global leaders. We’re honored to welcome his experience and perspective in this new leadership role, guiding Global Glimpse into the next chapter!

Last week, our Founding CEO, Eliza Pesuit, was welcomed to INDIEcultivate Boston to deliver a powerful TEDx-style talk on what it really means to build something that lasts. From her experience building Global Glimpse over the past 18 years, she shared that the moments that change us are rarely planned or easy and never seamless. Last week at O’Hare International Airport, Global Glimpse alumni got an inside look at what it takes to keep the world moving thanks to our incredible partners at @americanair . Our students stepped into the full ecosystem of what it takes to run a global airline, learning directly from leaders across customer service, baggage operations, ramp, maintenance, and air traffic control, and spending time with senior leaders like Carolyne Truelove and Ben Humphrey, who are shaping strategy at the highest levels of the business. They stood under the wing, moved through the operational heartbeat of the airport, and experienced firsthand the precision, coordination, and care required to move thousands of flights through ORD every single day. This is what real-world learning looks like. Moments like these help students connect the dots between what they have experienced through travel and what is possible in their future. They open doors, expand perspectives, and make careers in travel feel tangible and within reach. We are so grateful to the American Airlines team for showing up with such intention, generosity, and pride, especially as you approach your 100th anniversary. Earlier this week, we brought together Global Glimpse alumni and over 50 incredible leaders from across the travel industry for Inside Travel: Careers That Move the World. Our first event of its kind, designed to open doors, build meaningful connections, and make careers in travel feel more accessible and real to the Global Glimpse community. Our goal was to create direct pathways between young leaders and the professionals shaping this industry. Through honest conversations, mentorship, and shared experiences, Global Glimpse alumni walked away with a clearer vision of what is possible, and the leaders invested in helping them get there. A special thank you to Rena Shah, Head of @chasetravel Lodging & Experiences, for serving as our keynote speaker and sharing an honest and insightful look into her career journey, the evolving role of AI in travel, and what it means to lead with integrity in a rapidly changing industry. Her perspective challenged and inspired our alumni to think more boldly about their own paths and the future they can help shape.
