Day 2 of the SDG Innovation Camp focused on Concept Validation & Selection, as teams continued refining their ideas through the Solutions Lab process. Participants explored how to objectively assess their concepts, identify what works best, and determine which solutions are ready to move forward into further development.
The session also featured insights from 2024 alumni, Liza Caisutti, from SE Holdings, who shared the journey behind DIGI30 — an innovation developed through the programme to better support and profile small-scale farmers through a fully digitalised platform. Her story highlighted how ideas nurtured through the SDG Innovation Accelerator can grow into impactful, scalable solutions with real-world support and funding.
As the journey continues, innovators are not only strengthening their concepts, but also building solutions with the potential to create meaningful and lasting impact.

Today, innovators took part in the Solutions Lab
Participants were introduced to a practical “toolbox” for solution concept development, exploring a range of design thinking ideation tools and methodologies and how these can be applied to real-world SDG business challenges.
Working collaboratively, innovator teams then moved into refining and assessing their ideas, learning how to objectively evaluate concepts and select the most promising solutions to take forward for further development culminating in hands-on prototyping, where teams tested and iterated their strongest ideas using rapid pretotype methods from the lab, strengthening their solutions through practical application and feedback.
As the final camp before the programme finale, this session marks a key milestone in the journey, as teams prepare to refine and present their final solutions.
