High winds that swept through B.C.'s South Coast on Monday toppled trees, knocked out power, and in this case, ripped the roof off a truck as it drove over a bridge in Delta. The truck was headed over the Alex Fraser Bridge when the wind tore its roof off and sent it flying into oncoming traffic before it went over the bridge.

An endangered loggerhead sea turtle found off the coast of British Columbia, Canada, hypothermic and a long way from her natural habitat in February, has been rehabilitated and released back into the wild in California.
The turtle, dubbed "Moira" was cared for at the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Mammal Rescue Society before she was flown to San Diego, Calif. and released into the ocean.

A young B.C. musical prodigy has been killed in a car crash.
Nell Smith, 17, from Fernie, recorded several songs with the Grammy Award-winning band The Flaming Lips. She was also working on new music.
An Instagram post from her parents on Monday says Smith was “cruelly taken from them” on Saturday.
