Wanted to share the playlist of playlists. As you know I’m a huge fan of the Innervisions label sound. This playlist is over 600 hours so over 25 days worth of music of the Innervisions sound. The tracks are either releases on the Innervisions label or tracks played out by the label bosses Ame and Dixon over the years. I would describe the sound as emotionally deep, hypnotic house and techno that includes a blend of deep house and melodic house and techno rooted in the Chicago house sound. It’s more emotional and sophisticated than commercial tech house or big drop EDM energy. I keep it updated with new releases Hope you enjoy the music. Happy listening! Still buzzing from one of the best sets I’ve seen from one of my all time favorite artists Dixon from Berlin, label boss for Innervisions one of the most successful house music labels in the world I’ve seen Dixon perform live 20+ times at clubs and festivals in the US and Europe. Last night he was locked in and didn’t miss - not one bad track in a legendary 3 hour proper set at Jolene Sound Room, an intimate dark basement venue in downtown Miami it reminded me that for me when Dixon is on at the right party and the right venue he is the best in the game. He typically plays at big clubs and festivals. This time he got to perform for his fans at an intimate dark hot basement and played a flawless set 🤌 It was a very fun night dancing to one of Dixon’s best sets with several other hardcore Dixon fans. This & That… April was another month filled with great live music in Miami from 4 of my favorite artists, Ame, Sven Vath, John Digweed and Sasha. The highlight was my 25th Ame set and it just happened to be at Space Miami where I was fortunate enough to join my friend Kristian Beyer aka Ame in the DJ booth for his 4 hour sunrise set. It was surreal to watch Kristian the best in the game conduct a masterclass at my favorite club over the years from the view of dancing for 4 straight hours right behind him in the DJ booth overlooking the Space terrace dance floor. What makes him special is he is most humble person and treats me as a friend every time he comes to Miami to DJ despite his success as an international heavyweight DJ and as a label boss for Innervisions which is one of the most successful house music labels in the world. I also got to enjoy one of the best Sasha & Digweed sets I’ve seen over the years. Several out of town Digweed friends flew in for this set and it was great to enjoy the experience dancing with them to some amazing music I took a trip to Seattle to see my elderly mom who had a stroke 3 months ago. It was nice to see her doing very well with her recovery from the stroke and being ahead of schedule 🙏 With May finally here I’m excited about mango season starting up and I can’t wait to take my weekly visits to a mango farm near my place to buy and enjoy mangos from over 50 different types of mangos from across the world. Yeah I’m kind of a mango freak in case you didn’t know And the countdown begins now for my son Samir’s visit to Miami for 10 days in mid May. I’m so happy he will be here when I have 3 DJ gigs to see me perform in Miami clubs for his first time. He is a music junkie like me and we spend hours talking and listening to music whenever we get to see each other. We saw each other last in July 2025 for a 10 day father son reunion in Cape Town, South Africa enjoying non stop laughs and music together. He is my best male friend in life so I’m really excited about his visit!
