So it’s the end of an era. Just a few hours before we close after over 20 years. All I can say is thank you. Not only for the totally unexpected response to our closing down sale but for the emails, DMs & social media comments - I have been totally overwhelmed to read how much you love our jewels and your stories. Today, seeing so many empty shelves in our warehouse certainly brought mixed emotions.
So many lovely customers have asked us to remain open. As many of you know, I lost my wonderful Mum, who was a Director of GS, unexpectedly in 2022. I’m sure many of you sadly know how loss changes you and your outlook - for me, I know it’s the right time to close GS and I’m beyond proud of all our achievements as a family owned & run business.
We have extended our Buy 2 Designs, Get 1 Free offer for all customers & website visitors so no code is needed. Plus, as a final gift from me, every order over £20 placed between now and midnight will receive our Angel of Gold Brooch (£39) free*. The perfect piece to honour my Mum as she truly had a heart of gold.
So that’s it! All that’s left to say is a final thank you to each and every one of you for your support and custom over the years. To our lovely staff (past & present) for their dedication. To our industry friends. To my lovely friend Danielle, for her never-ending support, the laughs over these last few months & for being an absolute order packing superstar. And to our other Director, my Dad, for being my rock & for making me laugh so much that we were unprofessionally late joining conference calls on many occasions.
A lovely customer asked me what advice I would give a small business owner & it made me think. I would say, time is precious - keep reminding yourself to keep that work / life balance as hard as it is.

Following my announcement of Glitzy Secrets’ closure, I firstly want to thank you for the response we have received - your emails & social media comments have meant so much. It truly has been overwhelming to hear from so many of you who have been part of our sparkly world.
After over 20 years, it seems surreal to tell you our last date for online orders is Monday, 31st March*.
So we’re going to out in sparkling style... all designs have now been reduced to 70% off!
Beyond the awards and featuring on TV shows such as Downton Abbey, Bridgerton, Peaky Blinders, Strictly Come Dancing etc, we are so proud to have remained a family-owned and run company for over 20 years. And that’s because of the support from our loyal customers so once again… thank you.

After over 20 years, our multi-award winning family-owned jewellery & hair accessory brand is closing its doors.
When I founded the company, never in my wildest dreams did I expect to achieve so many highs. Our designs have featured on Downton Abbey, Bridgerton, Peaky Blinders, Strictly Come Dancing & Dancing on Ice to name a few. We have graced the pages of practically every glossy magazine, collaborated with Sony on a movie launch & won numerous industry awards.
Without a shadow of a doubt, our greatest achievement is having been the jewellery & accessory brand of choice for tens of thousands of brides and customers. We are truly grateful, not only for your custom over the years, but your support too.
While it has been a difficult decision, losing my wonderful Mum suddenly in 2022 has made me look at life through very different eyes & I feel now is the right time for me to take a leap of faith & embrace a new opportunity.
