Gorgeous wedding for L & J on Saturday at the iconic Dome cinema where the sun shone all day pouring light through the giant windows.
With nods to the bride’s Sicilian roots with olive branches decorating the space and two kinds of cannoli instead of wedding cake, it was such a perfect day.
As for the confetti,more is definitely more; once the coastal gusts caught it, it became a swirling, colourful blizzard through which I could do little but shoot blind!

We were lucky enough to be invited back to watch the chef in action 🍕
Pizza made using a 48-hour rested dough with super fine semolina (so no grainy texture 👏), topped with a fresh tomato base and fior di latte - no mozzarella shortcuts here. Light, flavour-packed, and seriously authentic.
And the gelato… WOW. 🍨 Don't even mention ice cream here....this is next level.
Made in-house, and you can tell they take serious pride in it. Denser, silkier, richer - I went for salted caramel and it was unreal. Proper indulgent without being heavy.

Perfect bite, pancetta shining through, and a beautifully balanced sauce - not too creamy, not too dry, finished with just the right hit of black pepper.

So fresh. So smooth. So good and loads of flavours !

Sfogliatella (lobster tail) with pistachio – crispy, rich, not overly sweet
Pistachio cannolo – crunchy shell, generous filling, beautifully balanced
Classic chocolate cannolo – had to be done 😏
Apricot sun biscuit – light, flavourful, not too sugary
☕ And of course… Dad has a proper Italian espresso whilst we were there...dark, rich and bold.
The vibe? Cozy, colourful, and full of character - with great outdoor seating too. I love all the little classic Sicilian/Italian details.
