As part of our Festival Diaries series, we're highlighting director @GlennHolsten 's "Patina/Promise," a visual ode to the City of Philadelphia we call home.
Filmed by 25 citizen filmmakers and assembled by Holsten and artist Majesty Royale-Jackson (@GlitterBoiWonder ) and imbued with the spirit of the great city symphony films, "Patina/Promise" is an energetic and moving celebration of life filmed entirely on location in the streets of Philadelphia.

🎥✨ We’re excited to announce that our short documentary, Thriving with Schizoaffective Disorder, has been officially selected for the 2025 Voices With Impact Film Festival!
This film is part of the Mind & Body program and follows the life of Sarah, a brilliant writer and psychology graduate, as well as a creative nonfiction author, fencing enthusiast, and proud dog mom to Isabelle. Diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, Sarah shares both her lived experience and professional insights with us. Together, we aimed to tell her story honestly, focusing on her deeply human experience by capturing real moments from her daily life in Brooklyn. From neighborhood dog walks to evening fencing lessons at the Brooklyn Bridge Fencing Club, Sarah opened up her world to us with courage and authenticity.
We are honored to have this film recognized and to participate in the Industry Conversations series at the festival. Your support means everything to us.
