9 Days in Mexico City was by Far the best vacation I’ve ever had. 3 different Hotels in 3 different neighborhoods. A beginners voyage into both Michelin Starred excellence and deeply delicious street food. And a menagerie of delicious drinks from some of the most fun and incredible bars I’ve ever been to. Friendships created and memories made. And that’s not even mentioning the absolute Mayhem and Magic of Lady Gaga live in front of THAT Crowd!!! I can’t wait to go back. The sooner the better!!
As a person who considers myself an artist and creator, I can safely and confidently say I have nothing on the passion and skill of the amazing people that created our food at @rest_quintonil . I said in one of my stories that this meal brought me to tears. BUT it wasn’t the food! Well maybe it was the food and wine 😜. But more over it was these gifted and skilled people. Their passion was on display. Their purpose laid bare with every bite. To see so many entirely focused craftspeople operating with one divine mission was gripping and jaw dropping in its precision and expressions of a deep seated love for the mission and the source material. The gift of seeing the entire process from mere feet away is one thing I will never forget and will strive to pull into my own work. It was beautiful and profound and undeniably inspiring. Treasured moments and memories. I’m thankful, heartfull, and filled with gratitude for these people as well as proud of the hardwork and passion my self and @edmunster84 have put into our own work to avail ourselves of such an impactful experience and vacation as a whole.
The food at @rest_quintonil is incredible. So of course the drinks are equally captivating. While our wines were phenomenal, the knowledge and passion of our wine “tour guide” was an exciting and educational experience of its own. It’s really hard to communicate how encompassing and special this meal was. Work Hard, Play Hard has never felt more real than these moments. @edmunster84 and I were all smiles throughout.
The most incredible meal I’ve ever had. @rest_quintonil was truly a magical experience. @edmunster84 and I were blessed to have this as a highlight on such a great vacation in CDMX. This post is featuring the food. The next one will feature the wines.
