This is a trailer for a film I made with Skinny Living around their album Day by Day.
We spent three weeks in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, recording at FAME Studios. One of those places that carries its history in the walls — you feel it the second you walk in. Properly steeped. No gloss.
I was there filming while the band were making their first album. Sitting in on those moments, watching songs come together in a room that’s seen so much already — it’s a privilege, really. One of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
This is the trailer for the film about that time.
Just a document of being there, day by day.

Benidorm – Age 7 – 2017
The sun, the sea, the sand, and the ultimate resort of times past. Benidorm. Here you can go abroad as an Englishman and be greeted with a pint of beer and absolutely nothing foreign, except for the warm glow of sunshine.
At seven years old, it was the first holiday I ever went on. Surrounded by inflatables, hit playlists, and hordes of families just like my own, scheduling the day’s fun activities,
I immediately felt sick. It’s true that the colourama of stolen ice lollies swirling inside me had not created a good feeling. But the artificial colours weren’t just inside — they were everywhere. It was the kind of indulgence that should have made anybody feel ill, and even as a child, I hated it.
But there must be something more to the place with an Elvis every night of the week. Maybe I had got Benidorm all wrong. So I decided to embark on a photography project to transform a memory.
Visiting off-season, I would get to encounter the sun-worshippers that had turned the holiday of a lifetime into just that — settling into deckchairs forever. In Benidorm, all you had to do was burn your skin to a tangerine crisp and, like wearing a football shirt, you could say: I belong here. I am on holiday.
Maybe that could be me too. So I loaded my Olympus LT point-and-shoot with Kodak Gold 200, the holiday film of my childhood, and I went back.

“El Rocío Pilgrimage, 2019 🌾
In 2019, I spent three days capturing the Romería del Rocío, one of Spain’s largest and most iconic religious pilgrimages, on medium format film with a Mamiya RZ67. Shot on Portra 400 and drum-scanned for these images, this series documents the traditions, energy, and devotion that define this extraordinary event.
The pilgrimage sees thousands of participants—known as rocieros—making their way through Andalusia’s sandy terrain, often on foot, horseback, or in beautifully decorated ox-drawn wagons. The destination is the village of El Rocío in Huelva, where the Virgin of El Rocío, a revered religious figure, is honoured. The images capture moments of traditional Andalusian dress, equestrian culture, community rituals, and the unique caravans making their way through fields and pine forests.
The conditions were a challenge: walking for hours in deep sand, navigating among horses and crowds, and battling wind that constantly carried sand into the camera. Shooting with a medium format camera added its own complexities, with a reversed image making composition a unique experience in a fast-moving environment.
This pilgrimage is more than a religious event—it’s a living celebration of Andalusian culture and tradition, preserved through generations. The combination of human devotion, stunning landscapes, and rich traditions creates a visual story that feels as timeless as the event itself.
