Crusader Community Boating offers boat trips that allow everyone, regardless of age, physical or mental ability, to enjoy the beauty and fun of Northamptonshire's waterways, aboard their pupose-built, fully accessible wide-beam boats. For many of our passengers, these specially equipped boats provide an opportunity to enjoy leisure and social experiences alongside their carers, experiences they might not otherwise be able to access. We hope that, in some small way, this contributes to their social well-being, helping to counter the feelings of isolation that many can experience. The Doddridge Centre is based in an area facing deprivation, meaning many people who attend are in need of additional support. As a community hub, the centre works hard to provide a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone. Through a range of activities and initiatives, they aim to build a support network, reduce isolation, raise awareness of the services and help available to those who need it most. Our supporters are the absolute backbone of our funding. We're keen to build relationships and encourage regular support from Northamptonshire businesses, and in turn we'll showcase your business on the website and with supporter communications. You can set up a regular donation from as little as £25 per month, which would enable you to become an active part of supporting your community! Small charities often support the most vulnerable people, but don’t attract the funding which larger charities can access. Based in Rushden, NRG are market leaders in the UK energy sector, providing bespoke solutions to a range of clients. Our supporters form the backbone of our funding, and many of them like NRG are actively involved in supporting our events. We’re excited to share an important step forward for our charity! After a period of planning and reflection, Northants Community Aid is now ‘Give Northants’. This isn’t just a name change: it reflects where we’re heading and what we’re working to build across Northamptonshire. Give Northants exists to make local giving simple and meaningful. We bring together support from local businesses and use it to fund small, practical projects for grassroots charities across the county. These are the organisations closest to their communities – supporting families facing hardship, improving wellbeing, running inclusive activities, and creating safe spaces for young people. Over the past year, this support has helped fund things like specialist equipment for a local day service, inclusive sport and wellbeing programmes, youth provision, and community projects that simply wouldn’t have happened otherwise. Small grants can make a real difference when they reach the right organisations, and we’re proud to play a part in helping that happen. This rebrand marks the start of our next chapter. We’re looking to grow our network of local business supporters so we can reach more organisations and increase our impact across Northamptonshire.
