🇮🇹 Fotografare sé stessi è come rotolarsi nudi su un prato di ortiche.Tu, che stai sempre dall'altra parte, vedi sul tuo volto il tempo che passa, la luce come la volevi ma che segna male, la posa corretta in cui però non ti riconosci. Capisci il disagio di quella cliente che, davanti a una foto che giudicavi molto buona, si guardava e non si piaceva. Insomma, migliorare la competenza tecnica senza affinare costantemente anche quella umana tiene al palo, mentre per dirigere seriamente uno shooting ci vogliono il terzo occhio e la pelle sottile.
E poi comunque, là dove non arriva il retinolo, c'è Photoshop... Ma responsabilmente, mariuoli!

🇬🇧 Photographing yourself is like rolling naked through a field of stinging nettles. You, who are always on the other side, see on your own face the passage of time, the light exactly as you wanted it — yet it marks you badly, the correct pose in which you don't recognise yourself. You finally understand the discomfort of that client who, faced with a photo you considered very good, looked at herself and didn't like what she saw. Technical skill without constantly refining the human one gets you nowhere — because directing a shoot seriously takes a third eye and thin skin.
And then, where retinol falls short, there's Photoshop... But responsibly, you rogues!
