I have to speak about this product… it is SOOO GREAT!! I have had my bottle of Satin cleanser for three months now and the change in my skin is amazing. My skin feels cleaner but at the same time more nourished. My pores are starting to shrink and my skin has an overall brightness that was not there before. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product line, after three months my cleanser is only half finished even after daily use, so only two bottles will last me the entire year. I cannot wait to try the glycolic (hint hint friends- Christmas is coming). For anyone with young adults in their family, these would be their most treasured stocking stuffers once they experience the results. Michelle- I am so proud of you and what you have created!! Its an amazing product.

By putting others first—the voiceless creatures of Gombe, the children she inspired, the fragile earth itself—Jane Goodall embodied the rare power of egoless love. Her legacy is proof that greatness comes not from self, but from service.
A Prayer for the People of LA
(For the misfits, the makers, the dreamers)
To the ones who paint, code, grow, sing—
to those who don’t quite fit but always show up…
This city needs you.
We are not here to blend in.
We are here to stand out.
To be the color in the gray.
To be the beat behind the skyline.
LA isn’t made of sameness.
It’s made of spectrum.
Every voice, a shade.
Every soul, a crayon.
Let the coder bless the farmer.
Let the singer feed the sculptor.
Let the silence between us be filled with awe.
Without you—
this city fades.
But with you?
We become a living mural.
LA: Made in Every Shade.
You are the prayer.
You are the color.
You are the city.

Strength in Vulnerability: The Hidden Heroism in Facing Hardship
“When you go through hardship and decide not to surrender, that is strength.” – African Proverb
Hardship is an inevitable part of life, yet society often defines strength as never showing weakness. But true strength is not found in invincibility—it lies in the courage to be vulnerable, to feel deeply, and to embrace our struggles without losing sight of the possibility of growth.
The Courage to Feel
Vulnerability is not surrender; it is bravery. When we allow ourselves to acknowledge pain, we create space for healing. Far from being weakness, admitting “I am struggling” takes enormous strength and fosters deeper connections with others. It reminds us that we don’t have to navigate life’s storms alone.
Heroism in Sharing
Sharing our stories of hardship transforms vulnerability into heroism. When we speak our truth, we empower others to face their struggles too. True inspiration doesn’t come from perfection but from those who confront adversity with authenticity and resilience.
Balance: Vulnerability and Resilience
True strength lies in balancing vulnerability and resilience. Vulnerability allows us to feel, and resilience helps us rise. Together, they shape us into wiser, more compassionate individuals.
If you’re struggling, know that strength isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about choosing to keep going, asking for help, or simply acknowledging your pain. Heroism is not about being unbreakable; it’s trusting that you can rebuild yourself stronger.
Your vulnerability is your strength. Your persistence is your heroism. Together, they make you unstoppable. @africanalchemist
When we lose something deeply important—like a home or belongings—through a fire, the impact is profound. The emotions we experience can feel overwhelming, and it’s normal to go through a variety of stages. Understanding these stages can help you feel less alone and guide you through the healing process.
Grief is not just about the loss of a person—it’s also about the loss of memories, stability, and a sense of safety. Take things one step at a time, and know that healing is a gradual process. We’ll talk more about this in the next few posts.
