Been on a bit of a hiatus lately taking care of my chicken, and locking in on my health and wellness yo!
I’ll be back playing music here and there but with a very mindful outlook for my future wellbeing: I’m getting to the Unc stages of my life and my body is beginning to feel it 😩😂
FRIDAY 4/17: I’ll be hosting a silk & sound with some homies popping in for an open to close 6 hour set at Secret grove, bringing some wax and a usb, and if we’re homies you should bring some too!
SATURDAY 4/18: On GB resident duties at process alongside Yuco, Tee, and Sonia Sol 🖤 Garage, club, baile + the of course the usual tribal-y groovy techno rhythms you can expect from me.

The lost files 🥹
Looking back at our 1 year anniversary footage and seeing vino and Carlos in all the clips + Javie randomly closing out one of the nights and V always absolutely jiggin in all of them, makes it feel super full circle postponing last years party and celebrating in collaboration with the boys. A 4x4 party is few and far between, but every time it’s a space to congregate with my loved ones and connect with more of you every time.
I still don’t know what I’m doing really, but I hope these random terrible clips I chose out of all the really good footage stored away does a bit of justice to the emotions and communal fabric that music weaves for me in my life.
We’re back in a basement with low ceilings tomorrow in Seattle at @kremwerk and Saturday in Portland as per usual, and who knows a @thecapitol_bend anniversary party is overdue in Bend maybe this fall?! 👀😈

Tomorrow I’m on special guest duties spinning with the Sutiki boys from start to finish for the dogwoods 1 year anniversary at the new location 🪩
Disco house and no rhythms few and far between will be off limits. It’s always a pleasure to play in Bend, albeit a bit frustrating I don’t get to come back home to spin as often as I’d like, when I do get invited & schedule permitting it’s always a blast revisiting the hometown and seeing familiar faces I don’t get to brace as often 🖤
Free entry, come hang! The only Dominican food truck in Oregon is here also, + im bringing a crate of records and on the decks with two friends I don’t get to share that space nearly enough as I’d like 🕺

Achiras are small, bite-sized biscuits from Colombia’s Andes mountains. Made with native achira flour, they’ve been part of everyday life for generations from schoolyard snacks to coffee farm breaks. They’re the kind of snack that carries a feeling, not just a flavor.
We all grew up with that one after-school snack we still remember. This event is about honoring those moments and creating new ones together.

Theres been a tremendous fluctuation in dynamics for me this past year and thankfully, one of the few constants that’s been keeping me grounded has been being able to share a dancefloor with most of yall around town, especially at the watershed — so I’m very grateful to end this year, and begin the next amongst those danleys that have gave a lot of us un chingo de libertad y cariño 🖤

There used to be a person in a wheelchair that lived on the streets in my neighborhood when I moved here and I always saw him and waved and said hi on my walks to the store. My first winter living in Portland I still saw him out and about, knowing how cold it is and had mentioned to my roommates and girl that I wanted to get a care package together if it was the least I could do to help him through the winter. But time flew by and life got busy and I unfortunately never got around to it and I noticed as the winter got harsher I didn’t see him in our neighborhood again.
Part of me knows and really really hopes he got shelter and care somewhere but there’s this 1% of doubt in me that reminds me I could’ve done just a tiny bit more to help someone in need and I didn’t and not seeing him on my walks this year really burdens me with a guilt & sadness that’s created this desperate desire to help others around me immediately as much as I can going forward. I think about him everyday on my drive home and walks to the grocery store and it’s given me a lot of reflection on how taken for granted I am with the care and support around me, so reciprocating that is forever a priority to me. And he’s the motivation @4x4____________ & I decided to host a coat drive on Friday.
We’ll also have a bin for toys as well too! And got some good friends of mine spinning house music and staying cozy at @secretgrove_collective 🫂🖤
Next weekend also I’ll be on support with the president of Portland @mijo108 para mi padrino @deorro 🌹🇲🇽
