This is 6 hours of work compressed into a 50seconds timelapse, i think the whole project took me somewhere around 80hours, the original art by @rsconnett is an oil painting that i had to cirurgically cut by hand and make over 150 layers in photoshop from each small insect, its legs and antennas, the tree trunks,leaves, water and every element of the painting, then used Ai to cover the holes left by the cutouts using the art itself as a reference, then i proceeded to animate each element, group and render them with alpha channels and then made the final composition using 3D layering to simulate an artificial parallax, this is the first time i post something that is not just the final product, to the naked eye it always seems so easy , but the amount of work that goes into this is monumental as is should be when trying to pay respects to the artist involved and something barely anyone recognizes, this job was a commision by Emiel at @sangoma.records , someone that has trusted in my work for years now. #aftereffects #motiongraphics #psychedelic #psychedelicart
