MISTLETOE MILESTONE! For the first time in over half a century, Mistletoebirds are once again, spreading the seeds of Wire-leaved Mistletoe in Melbourne.
Bayside Council has gone completely mad.
They have just purged all of the native wildlife that was living in the nature reserve's nest boxes. The boxes now just have empty nests and some of the previously occupied boxes have disappeared altogether. We only know that they did this because of a slip up from a council officer.
What can you do?
1. Please keep an eye on council officers and their contractors in the reserve, document anything suspicious and report to relevant authorities as well as to us.
2. Reach out to state and federal politicians for their support in fixing this and anyone else you can think of. There is little point contacting Bayside itself as it has become a self-serving entity that routinely misleads the public.

p.s. I wonder, failing Bayside's current organisational structure receiving an enema, if a viable solution could be for the reserve to become a part of the City of Port Phillip? Any other ideas?
