An especially historic Martin Luther King Jr walk this morning with our new mayor, Dr. Dorcey Applyrs. It was also an honor to be joined by Congressman Paul Tonko, Senator Patricia A. Fahy, Assemblymembers Gabriella Romero and John McDonald, County Executive Dan McCoy, County Clerk Bruce Hidley, and my Council colleagues: Art Lumpkin, Mark Robinson, Meghan Keegan, Rachel Powell, Tom Hoey, and Council President Kelly Kimbrough, along with County Legislators Danielle Gillespie and Dustin Reidy, and City Court Judge Josh Farrell.
It’s a great day for Albany! Congratulations to Commissioner Jones and new Commissioner Reverend Robinson on your recent mayoral appointments, thank you for your continued service to the City of Albany, your work is so appreciated and thank you Mayor Applyrs for these excellent appointments!
Tonight at our first Council meeting of the year, I was honored to be elected by my colleagues to the role of President Pro Tempore. I believe deeply in Albany and the important work of the Council, I look forward to working alongside my colleagues Mayor Dorcey Applyrs to make Albany better. Congratulations to new Majority Leader Alfredo Balarin and all of my colleagues on the first meeting of our new Council, we have a lot of great work to do!
Team Thunderpants was in full effect for the 20th annual Santa Speedo Sprint! Thank you to our fearless leader Meghan Keegan for Albany Common Council 9th Ward and fellow team mates Councilmembers Alfredo Balarin and Richard Conti, David Galin, Noelle Kinsch, Treasurer Darius Shahinfar, County Legislator Sue Pedo, Kate Wood, Martha Mahoney, Calee Oas, and more! Also great to see Mayor elect dorceyforalbany, Mayor Sheehan, Senator Pat Fahy, Assemblymember Gabriella Romero, and 6th Ward Councilmember elect Deirdre for Albany! Thank you to Jim Larson for 20 years of fun raising money for a great cause!
So incredibly grateful to be able to spend Thanksgiving serving others at allie_bs_cozy_kitchen with Kizzy Williams who inspires so many, including govkathyhochul! Also got to spend some quality time with friends and family, especially my trio.
