We’re so used to buying cheap we don’t understand the cost of clothes any more. Slow fashion business like ours struggle finding local workshops that will take our small orders but we are making it happen! This ensures our clothes are made following a sustainable approach + supplying you with very unique pieces! And that’s what we want you to understand and to value!!
Also, the fact that at Gingham Palace we sell “direct to consumer” means that we’re not duplicating the retail price, so no one else takes a cut. In our prices, this is included: design, fabric + trims, production, transportation, packaging, marketing and VAT.
Like you know, we promote conscious consumption and so like Dame Vivienne Westwood said too: buy less, buy better, value your clothes (this last bit is mine!)

Today I went to @carolina.garcia.studio & @shirley_fiedler ‘s creative workshop Bloom & Brush. We talked about flowers & foraging, we practiced some watercolour techniques, we did a carousel watercolour by which everyone got to paint something on everyone else’s watercolour illustration, we had delicious tea, talked about our horoscopes & took a beautiful bouquet home! What a treat to have some time for oneself to be creative & to surround yourself with other creative women with just one goal, to enjoy, to experiment, to let go of perfection & to be present 🙏
