Okay, the @SFFILM parties and hangovers are (mostly) over, so back to our regularly scheduled production updates!
Been focusing on attending the fest and this was the advice we got from the #ILoveBoosters premiere!

Mini update! It’s my first day at @sffilm festival as a FilmHouse Resident! Saw Late Fame (starring Willem Dafoe & Greta Lee) & forgot to film our fun afterparties ;) Will film a better update next time!
1) Rest & reset. After a week of editing, I took some time to journal, walk around my neighborhood, & get exercise
2) Collaboration / Body Doubling. Today I called one of my producers and told her what I was struggling to get done. And I stayed on the phone with her until I finished one of my tasks!
3) Re-assess the timeline. Would it be a catastrophe if I took a break? What’s urgent? Sometimes the urgent thing IS rest — because without it my burnout would impact the project even more.
How do YOU communicate as a director?
When I convey my vision to my key crew, I keep it simple or I ask for their contributions! Sometimes I know 100%, but the joy is in boucing ideas back and forth.
