The delegation of the Global Initiative for Leadership Success (GILS), led by High Chief Sunnie Chukumele, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi Sule, to present the President Umaru Musa Award for Outstanding Leadership. His Excellency had been nominated for the award at the recently concluded President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua Leadership Conference and Awards, alongside other prominent personalities.
In his response, His Excellency expressed gratitude to the Board of Trustees of GILS for deeming him worthy of the award, given the exemplary leadership qualities embodied by the late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua. He described the late president as a man who dedicated himself to the nation's cause - a true patriot.
His Excellency commended GILS for their commitment to upholding the late President's legacies and promoting individuals who exemplify good leadership. He further pledged his support for the organization, acknowledging its non-profit status.
The governor commended very highly the organization's advocacy for the establishment of the Umaru Musa Yar'Adua Presidential Library and pledged to lend whatever support for the proposal.
