I’m so excited to share that in one month, I’ll be moving to Japan to perform!🇯🇵 It’s always been a goal of mine to dance abroad, and I’m beyond excited for this opportunity. Disney is where dreams come true, after all🏰✨ [as a certified Disney adult, what more could a girl ask for?]
I can’t wait to share this new journey with you all. “Adventure is out there!” 🎈🏠

thank you @ninasymone_ for such an amazing class and getting me right! it’s been a while since i’ve taken a heels class, and also my first time in a decent pair of actual dance heels😭. going into a new style is always a bit nerve racking, but (as all dancers know) the video always looks better than it feels! proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort zone, and excited to keep exploring all the things that scare me! #heels #heelsdance #dance #danceclass #dancer
3月27日 / 京都 (part 2) ⛩️🎍
the torii gates of the fushimi inari are just as stunning as you’d expect them to be. despite the fact that the japanese on the gates are simply the names of the businesses they were donated by…😂 the trek to the top was truly a magical (& lengthy) journey. our hike in particular was fueled by pringles [from a shop halfway up the mountain], soybean ice cream, and 3 water bottles🍦
one of my favorite side-quests this day was finding a bamboo forest off the beaten path (shoutout @victoriapantagis !). time seemed to pass a little slower while we enjoyed the sunlight leaking through the leaves of countless bamboo stalks.
till next time, kyoto

experiencing and learning about the history of a matcha tea ceremony was incredible. the precision and intention in every detail was fascinating, and trying it ourselves proved to be way harder than it looked😂 i found a new respect for the way matcha is prepared, and for the skills and patience being a tea ceremony host requires. it’s more than tea, it’s the principles that remind us to appreciate every present moment: 和 wa: harmony; 敬 kei : respect; 清sei : purity; 寂 jaku: tranquility.
kinkaku-ji temple was literally so beautiful it took my breath away. the temple grounds are so stunning and serene, even with hundreds of people around. my tutor laughs at me because every time he asks what i did over the weekend, i always visit a temple or shrine😂 i simply can’t help it! the architecture, gardens, and the atmosphere holds so much space for peace, hope, and clarity.
p.s. i love you @brennan__cole
One month of Dance the Globe! (2/14) 🌍💚💙✨
It makes me incredibly proud to see the African Diaspora represented so beautifully, along with so many other cultures around the world. The smiles and waves that fill the audience are incandescent; it’s such an important reminder that, truly, “we are one!”
Thank you to all of the INCREDIBLE photographers who capture the joy and energy of this show so effortlessly. Your generosity and spirit is appreciated more than you know. ほんとにありがとうございます💛

fact: mt. fuji is only visible approximately 80 days of the year.
fact: knitting & banana bread is better with friends (and under a warm kotatsu).
fact: feeling like the luckiest girl in the world.
clear skies, fresh air, silver hair… 30 has never looked so good @biancaheard ! feeling so fortunate to have celebrated your solar return, and spend new years in japan. shoutout to fuji-san for gracing us with her snow-cap, and showering us with the first snow of the year. ❄️🗻💙
