Hi! I'm Gillian and I'm not your normal art dealer. I've suddenly found myself with an influx of new followers and I'm so glad you're here ! Besides the fact that I have an art gallery dedicated to 20th and 21st century modern art with an incredibly large inventory, I thought I'd tell you a few facts about me that many people may not know. 1. I'm a little weird! (Well, most people know that part 😜). I'm drawn to people and art that have soul and depth; the people that dig deeper than 'how's the weather' and the artists who make art from the depth of their being without regard to the opinion of the masses. 2. Art saved my life more than once. From an insecure childhood where I created art to emotionally survive to dropping out of the Corcoran School of Art (that was dumb) to collecting and now dealing in art, nothing else has the power that art has over me. 3. Dogs and music are also must haves for my utmost happiness. 4. I can write upside down, backwards and upside down AND backwards. My brain just isn't right 😜 5. I have a near photographic memory when it comes to art and interiors. Invite me over once and I'll be able to tell you where everything is in your place well after I'm gone. 6. I'm a major introvert. Heart to heart talks come way easier to me than small talk. Because of that, I probably have a smaller circle of friends. But ask me anything and I'll be 100 real with you. Always. 7. I can't burp. Really. And I just learned that that condition has a name, but I forgot what it was. There's probably more strange facts about me but hey, I don't want to scare you off so soon 🫢 I hope you'll turn on post notifications for my posts and stories, as I share new art to my gallery daily. And if you don't see anything you love, I invite you to reach out to me via dm. I'd be so happy to share works that may be exactly what you're looking for. Wherher you're a new collector or an interior designer with entire projects, your interest and support mean the world to me. Here's to a long journey together exploring and collecting art that we love! Cheers, G 🤍

It's all about the greens! At High Point Market last month, I sold out of every painting that was predominantly green. I didn't even think of that when I bought this painting but apparently I really like green! This 1952 abstract on masonite in its original wide black panted wood frame drew me in with its minimalist composition as well. Lines that guide your eyes around the work, the simple geometry of it calms me somehow. It's a large piece at 35.5" w x 29.25" h and it definitely has main character energy. It's also available via dm before we list it on the website, so hmu for info or to purchase! Edit: painting sold

As an artist, art collector and gallery owner, losing my eyesight has long been my greatest fear. Not being able to see the colors, texture, movement and meaning in art would have devastated me. And then I adopted a blind dog from Korea. Otis has taught me that beauty isn't limited to what you can see. He's reminding me to slow down and feel the world around me. To use my other senses to connect with him and nature and to take what I'm learning back to my daily life. Nothing could ever replace the joy I get from living with and around art and from being able to curate pieces for others to make their world more beautiful. But my fears have lessened now. Because of Otis and how he has adapted to his life after a tragic accident, I've learned that while my visual world has been my guiding light, I just may have forgotten to trust the rest of my experience to bring me all the beauty this life has to offer. And that is the greatest gift. Thank you, sweet Otis. 💚

I'm fairly sure most art people love a good portrait wall and we are no exception over here in the studio. Susie and I were pulling some great vintage portraits and had so much fun with the diversity of the characters. At what function would all of them be found together? Are they family? Friends? Those questions are what we love about this wall. Imagine how many conversations would be sparked around a collection like this. We also feed off each other creatively (lucky us!) and we added the tramp art star at the last minute. The before is in slide 2 and we still don't know which we prefer. And even better, all of these paintings are available now! Just dm me for deets and to purchase 🫶

Let's be honest. Owning an art gallery is a dream come true. It really IS all sunshine and rainbows, except having to sell all my favorite paintings. 🥹 Since I only buy what I love for my gallery, they're all my favorites. But being able to see how they add so much joy to people's lives makes it all worth it. I wouldn't want you to put anything in your home that I wouldn't have in mine. If you're new here and you're looking to start collecting art or to have a source for your design projects, I'm glad you're here! I'm always available via dm to talk art, gallery walls, curations and more. Have a look at our website; we are adding works daily as we are getting through our thousands (and thousands) of paintings we have available. So here's to sunshine and rainbows and the joy that art brings to our lives ! #vintageart #artininteriors #artbuyingtips #20thcenturyart

EVERYBODY INTO THE PYOOOL! (If you know where that's from, you're my people) This Jack Hooper oil on canvas is perfect for your beach house! And if you don't have a beach house, it can take you there in your mind to the one you're manifesting 🏖️ You know I love me some Jack and I've been holding on to this one for a while. But it really deserves its forever home so here it is, reluctantly 🥹. It's a large 30.75”W x 24.5”H and I can't get over the color and movement of the water. Dm me with questions and to purchase ! I'm going calm and minimal today with a Rothko inspired color field painting by California artist Gerrit Greve (1948-2024). Greve's ability to achieve translucence as well as a certain glow to his color field paintings has made them one of our most sought after collections. We paired it with a trompe l'oeil bronze by Vanderlei Lopes (born 1973) entitled "Clarice" (yes THAT Clarice from 'Silence of the Lambs"). I've had this in my personal collection for over a decade and it should probably stay there but who ever knows 🤭 We framed color field canvas in a 19th century lemon gilt frame and we think it really upped its game ! It's 24" h x 20" w altogether and it's available via dm before it hits the website. This one will surely bring you light and joy wherever you hang it ! 🌞

This one's for the real ones. The ones who always comment "SLOW DOWN! I can't see the art when you go so fast!" Have I told you lately that I love you? And if you're new here and watched the whole thing, welcome! You're one of us 🫶☺️ #artaddiction #vintageartaddiction #addictedtoart #artforinteriors

One of the things that artists do that blows me away every time is when they achieve so much with so little detail. The way the body in this figurative oil on canvas by May Bender is absolutely defined with shades of gray with only subtle differences is masterful. If you love nude paintings but also have judgmental family or young children in your home, this one's for you! (Although I'm all for who cares what anyone else thinks and also it's art) I love the sinuous form of the body and the composition is divine. And RED is as hot as it gets right now! She's 40" h x 30" w and you get first dibs before she hits the website. Want her? Dm me ! ❤️

Want to have all the neighbors from your pickle ball group have something to talk about? How about a vignette that tells a story? Or suggests one anyway 🤭 I fell in love with the hyperrealistic white cat against the YK blue background. And I also had to have the folk art (conceptual art!) mounted fish plaque bc I love a good last place trophy (and I don't do taxidermy- he's acrylic!). And then! Hannah cleverly came up with the concept of placing them together and hell yeah! How can you buy one without the other? They're now a bonded pair. Anyway, the vintage cat is on cradled panel and is 17" x 17". The fish trophy 🐟 🏆 is 17.5" w and 10" h. You can dm me for info or to purchase before they hit the website. And I guess I'll sell them separately but I can't guarantee they won't come with separation anxiety 😜 Edit: fish trophy sold
