'Parasocial Relationships III' performed at FLAT Tokyo on 9th of July 2025 - snippet filmed by Sarah Carayiannis
We are soon leaving our hibernation period in the songwriting laboratory necessitated by two hand injuries to play the absolutely impossible show with St Albans Kids on the 2nd of May at the Old Bar!
St. Albans Kids will play their first show since 2003 at the Old Bar for a mini fest on the 2nd of May 2026 alongside a diverse lineup within the sphere of screamo and emo. Joining them will be Gil Cerrone, The World At A Glance, Keratin, World Sick and Cadmium. $20 Online and $25 on the door. Limited tickets 18+. Tickets on sale 6pm Wednesday 11th March.
Holding a special and folkloric place within the history of so-called australian screamo, St Albans Kids approach to the genre is forever held to a high standard for its unique and chaotic fervour. Their discography, albeit short, describes the flash and fire of the band’s short existence from 2001-2004 between Naarm and Kaurna lands. With sporadic lineup changes, happenings of DIY generator shows in carparks, abandoned buildings, and even public spaces such as Rundle St Mall, St Albans Kids continue to influence the country’s burgeoning screamo scene. Their reunion marks a significant moment for the genre, not to be missed.
In 2025 we did things many of us thought wouldn’t be possible when we started this band - year of Gil! Next year also year of Gil!

Please indulge us in this deeply belated post to commemorate our whirlwind of a Japan tour with Keratin in July this year. We are 10000% indebted to Kou Nakagawa of ungulates for doing basically everything - booking venues, scheduling trains, reserving accomodation, lending equipment, chaperoning all (9!) of us, selling merch, carrying everything, the whole time exuding charm, while being relaxed, kindhearted and completely composed. Without him this simply would not have happened. Thanks to Keratin for being the best gd rascals to share this experience with! What a pleasure seeing crowds respond to your heavy, epic and cathartic sets each night. Thanks to Poetry of Torch for joining us for the middle of the tour, being an incredible band and even better people! Thanks to every band we played with and every person who came! … now lets let the pictures do the talking
