When @iamallenlouis first asked me to honor the one and ONLY @phyliciarashad@bivoices Annual Fundraiser Concert, I immediately said YES! But leading up to the concert, I experienced some L’s and a few vocal health hurdles that made me second-guess my yes. I reminded myself that God’s strength is made perfect in my weakness. I chose to show up with what I had and let God do the rest. I believe folks were blessed because of it. Did I feel 100% or love every vocal choice I made? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Was I grateful to share my gifts and light in the space?? YES!
What a PRIVILEGE it was to sing with my BIV fam and honor the divine being and legend Miss Phylicia Rashad 💜💜💜
The theme last night was rising with purpose, and I’m doing my best to do just that 🙏🏾🙏🏾Thank you, God, for working through me.
