After almost two years of collaborative work with @ichendorfmilano it is finally time to reveal Sources! The Sources collection highlights—through its textured surface—the natural path that water takes as it filters through different layers of soil, stone, and natural minerals. The very shape of the glass has been modeled with inspiration from these elements, capturing their irregularity and depth in the glass surface. The result is both tactile and visual: an object that tells the story of the origin of water. Glasses come in clear or partially frosted finish. I am so excited about this and everything that is to come and want to thank all the people at @ichendorfmilano for their trust and support! I will be sharing some insights into the developement process in the following weeks :) Sources collection Design by @gickneipel Ph @gegalanello #glassware #glassdesign #tableware #tablewaredesign #tableculture

Hostile Design for Milano 🗡️ I will be presenting No Access as part of the travelling exhibition „a bunch of knobs“ curated by @zaccaria_slater ! Featuring 50 knobs by 50 creatives all attached to one door that moves across Milano during design week. daily door locations: tue 21: via tortona, porta genova wed 22: via spalato, isola thu 23: via achille maiocchi, porta venezia fri 24: triennale milano sat 25: via palermo, brera No access applies the logic of hostile architecture to a domestic element, transforming the door handle from a gesture of welcome into one of refusal. By relocating exclusionary strategies from the cityscape into an intimate, hand-scale object, it reveals how architecture embeds control and violence into our daily life. (Image 2 edited with AI)

Pico (2025) Waste separation in the public Detail shots of the pico trash can for the pilot project for Berlin parks and squares. Besides the clear, multilevel communication of the trash types, the familiar emptying system from the existing public cans was used and the brim for spinning the can also has the trash type embossed in phonetic transcription so everyone can participate in sorting. pico (2025) waste seperation in the public Pico is a pilot project introducing waste separation into Berlin’s public spaces — especially parks and squares, where mixed waste bins are still the norm. This leads to recyclable materials being lost and limits public engagement with sustainable disposal. Pico separates waste into four familiar categories: waste, paper, plastics and organics. The bin is rotatable, making all openings accessible. Color-coded inserts and raised profile font at the brim support intuitive, inclusive use. A built-in step helps children reach the openings and allows sanitation workers to rest collection baskets, reducing one-sided physical strain. The bin is made from modular parts, making it easier to transport, maintain, and repair. Waste is collected via individual flaps and taken to nearby SR hubs — closed collection points with standard containers. These act as handoff points to Berlin’s three waste contractors. While the system requires more coordination, it improves material recovery and raises awareness of sorting — with long-term impact on waste seperation behavior. Some insights into prototyping sources back in 2021. Originally conceived as a water and wine glass ensemble, the texture for the sources water glass was achieved with a positive made from rock, stones and sediment tracing the natural path water takes to get filtered in nature. Glass was blown into a three part negative plaster mould. Sources collection for @ichendorfmilano Glassmaker prototype: @lucifervetriarium Video credits slide 4-7: @carljbahra #sources #glassmaking

Filka +/- is a water filter carafe that makes a simple task more intentional. It consists of two glass parts — funnel and carafe — precisely sanded to fit seamlessly. Water filters through a ceramic filter filled with replaceable activated charcoal, without the plastic casing typical in other systems. The hourglass-like flow encourages a short pause instead of instant results. It comes with a matching glass set. Developed from an overly conceptual student project, this revision focused on user interaction and production suitability while preserving its original spirit. Filka +/- is part of @forty_square_meters from 11.09 - 13.09 at Ebersstraße 3, Berlin. A living room of unproduced design curated by @justushilfenhaus and @anja.zachau
