So our first celebration post of the people who came down for our @planet.wax night was the lovely @proeliumaudio takeover with @gianinajuin and @kizendnb ❤️ have a look through these clips to get a small taste of the depth of drum and bass these guys can offer.
They brought some very, very deep, dark and heavy drum and bass for us. Zaba spoke to @kizendnb about whether his music was mostly dubs or if they're superb pickings. The answer is superb pickings. He said he prides himself in his ability to find really deep, underground tunes by unknown artists.
But what was really special was being able to hear a @kizendnb tune played out in full to end his set. Really looking forward to hearing this one again. It definitely took us aback with that heavy - but precise - bass. Excellent production. Definitely a producer to get to know.
@kizendnb gives off an aura of some kind of friendly pirate odyssey sailor. He's an adventurer and explorer and he wants to share his treasures with everyone to discover what he's found. He was very excited to talk about his deep cuts and dubs. He's also tall enough to be one because Zaba had a crooked neck to talk to him.
@gianinajuin brought some very unique and interesting flavour to this b2b with some very experimental sounds. Her USB must be bursting with creative drum and bass. But what really won us over with her is that she is such a warm person and so supportive. She stopped us outside just for a chat to say how much she loved our values and ideas. She posted to her story to say we have "restored her faith" for the future grassroots, smaller collective scene. But the irony is that actually, them being here with us and bringing their energy and kindness is what made our night possible in the first place. Also she has the best bass face we've seen for a while.
What a lovely group of people. @proeliumaudio knows where to find the best selectas - but nicest people.
