Thank you, Santa Ana! Another amazing art walk, where I got to meet so many fun people and draw so many cute pets, including my first CHICKENS!! I was so excited. Fun lore drop: we temporarily had pet chickens when I was still living at home with my mom and stepdad in my early twenties, in an apartment complex in Tustin until management was like “do you…have chickens? Uhm. That’s not allowed.” And then we had to give them to my aunt who had more space for them.
ANYWAY. I will be at Riverside Arts Walk this Thursday night in downtown Riverside, so come get your pet portraits if you’re in the IE!

Day 25 of Analog April: cassette tape
Made a little cassette tape card since I don’t have a ton of time this morning. Took inspiration from a Talking Heads tape my uncle made, he gave me all of his cassette tapes from the 80’s and 90’s a few years ago. I wrote down the songs I listened to while making it as my own little mixtape, although these were listened to on streaming, admittedly 💀But they’re at least from the 80’s!
Day 24 of Analog April: Radio with Antenna! 📻
I made a little radio zine about my current number 1 spot programmed radio station in my car: KJazz, and how I was NOT a fan as a kid when my dad would drive around listening to it, but guess what, I DO still have a Sugar Ray CD I listen to in my car too. Photo evidence on the last slide. I literally bought that CD on eBay when I got my car that has a CD player. It’s not even the one I had as a kid. 35 year old me bought that.
Anyway, the radio is the Wild West now and sometimes I will listen to it while driving and think about how weird it is that it still exists somehow in this streaming world. Support your local radio!

Day 23 of Analog April is one of my favorite things: Record Player! I have two record players, one in my office that I’ve had for like 21 years and another in the living room that is the “nice” record player. I absolutely love collecting vinyl and having my favorite albums forever and ever. Screw streaming! Put on a record! Support your local record store!

Thought of this silly Earth Day comic when I was walking my dog earlier and saw a dead roach on the ground right after I was like “Ah, I love being outside, I love the Earth so much!
