One of my favorite bars had to close down early tonight. Some male ego bullshit. Got all butthurt and caused a ruckus. As long as nobody else was hurt, we live to drink another day. I can’t believe that this is where we are as a country. Having to watch people being murdered in slow motion, frame by frame, by inexperienced cowards just to verify what really happened. Frying High Again. My little tribute to Ozzy. I made a paper bat template. Cut it out. Put plastic wrap over it. Flattened out some empanada wrappers. Put that on the plastic wrap. Then cut out the dough template of the bat. This all was created in my head. So I don’t know what I am doing. Learning as I went. The first cut out was a bit tattered around the edges. But I got better with my cuts. I made a lumpia style filling using ground beef, shredded carrots, garlic and onions. Sandwiched between dough bats, I pressed down the edges. Then fried them up. I only took pictures of the test bat before frying. I also tested one that I baked. Though it tasted a little better, it didn’t photograph as well. I also made a sweet chili sauce. As well as some gin and juice.
